My brother had a Century and we’d alternate pool nights between his house and mine with a GC IV. He’d be the first to agree with you, no comparison!Century. Decent table but nothing like a GC.
Tight pockets!now a days most rooms have diamonds not gold crowns
as much as i love gold crowns
if i had to get another table i would look for a diamond
if you are a shortstop
you play in tournaments and gamble
pick the table you are most like to be competeing on
jmho
(i have a gc 1 with extended rails to make 4.25 pockets)
Not. Even. Close.BW diagram: https://billard.dk/images/ssfiles/blackwolf.pdf Look at the way this table is built. fine for basic home use but it NO WAY is it a true commercial/tournament grade table.
Bought a Gold Crown IV in pristine condition. The fact that you mention a Black Wolf in comparison to a Gold Crown speaks volumes.

what frame does it have? are the end pieces between the side beams or do they butt-up against the side beams? the newer one's got an upgraded frame with the ends between like on the 1's-2's. as long as the bolts are tight the older one's are fine and won't sag. you can do a simple mod that RKC came with. pics of mod: https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/just-for-your-information.132657/Bought a Gold Crown IV in pristine condition.
