Looking for insight on stance, 6 foot 8 pool player

Do you fare any better on a 12 footer? I mean like where the reaches allow you to rest your torso on the slate and in that regard have you tried playing impossible to reach corner pocket shots? Just an oddball thing that occurred to me. lol...

Biggest tables we have are 9 foot diamonds which are all I play on, but yeah leaning into the table and using the slate isn't an issue for me.
Haha there's only one spot on the table I can't reach, but I just play those shots lefty. Don't really use the bridge which could bite me cause in a rare situation that I use it I'm not super great with it.

I guess I kinda take those things for granted since it's just normal to me, when I play scotch doubles with my pool partner sometimes I leave him shots he can't reach :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, and be like "wuttchu lookin at?" 🤓
Srsly, hope you get it worked out. You can't learn reach like that.

Russian player Ruslan Chinakhov, a Fargo 793 player, is the tallest of the mainstream pros today.

I've watched quite a bit of his footage. I wanna say he's around 6'4 or even 6'5. He has a solid stance, seems like he kinda straightens his back leg as he's dropping on the shotline.

mike delawder is a pretty strong player who is very tall
you can watch him here
i havent seen the match
just posted it for you
edit
i just watched him shoot alittle
he bends both legs
i am not a fan of that

...the pains of being a tall player :)

I found a stance that works, and Ive been playing for a really long time with no pains anywhere..
I also don't use an extension as it feels too long to me.

My stance is between snooker and pool, and I don't bend all the way down to the cue as I lose my peripheral of the table layout.
Hard to relay to someone else how to stand, but you do need to be comfortable for long periods of time, or your game suffers.
Hah right? I guess my body suffers when I try to get my head low over the cue but it feels strange to me when my head is higher.
But when I bend both knees to get super low I lose stability the longer I'm down which is really annoying on hard shots where I take my time.

Makes it more difficult to stay still on the shot.
Lyle89, the gentleman you were talking to above, Wybrook, is a pretty good player and if you want to see what he is talking about with his stance he can be seen in several youtube videos by searching Adam Wheeler (not outing anyone's identity, he's been very public about it). I linked one of them below to get you started.
