TRYING TO FOUND THE CUEMAKER WHO MADE THIS CUE OR INFORMATION. VERY NICE CUE LOTS OF INLAYS, HAVE CONTACTED A FEW MAKERS BUT YET TO FOUND SOMEONE CAN LEAD ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. FIGURED OUT WAS PROBABLY MADE IN THE EARLY 90'S AND POSSIBLY BUILT IN CALIFORNIA. SO ANY INFO. WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS

If it is from the early 90s and was built in Califonia it is most likely a Schrager. But IF is a big little word.
Show more pictures.

After seeing more pictures I think it is possibly an O Connor cue or one of Burt's apprentices. He bought Burt Schrager's shop. He was also building cues in California when that one was supposed to have been made. That inlay work sure reminds me of some of Pat Schragers work though. It makes me wonder if she ever did inlay work for other cuemakers.

I have been a little under the weather this weekend and just got on my regular computer instead of my tablet. So I could look at the pictures closer up. After seeing what now appears to be silver stitch rings sandwiched in between two silver rings I don't think the cue was made before mid to late nineties. As far as I know I was the first to do that style ring pattern and that was well after the early nineties. In the late 90s I went away from the two silver washers and just used the silver stitch rings. So with the cue probably being late 90s or later this opens up a whole bunch of possibilities.
This cue has a little of this and that from a few cuemaker styles. The inlay work reminds me of Schrager and Schuler. The hollow joint pin was a Schuler style. The shaft inserts are not Schuler style. Either someone just looked at those cues and borrowed this and that or maybe they were once affiliated with one or the other. The only one I know who actually worked with Schrager, Schuler and myself is Dale Hoke. Dale was all over the place with designs and never really developed a recognizable Hoke style. But I don't think Dale built it. Maybe it is someone who worked with Schrager and Schuler. I looked for pictures of Stu Mortenson's cues and could not find any. This is how I spent an otherwise boring afternoon. If the original early nineties time frame was off by a decade or so, making it a 2000s cue then it being some higher end work from the Philippines is a real possibility.

Another possibility, someone had a few broken sticks & did a one off "One Piece At A Time" Johnny Cash style.

So here is and update on this cue. Changing the linen wrap to leather here is what I found under the wrap hope someone might be able to help me. So it said SAM 97 LT3 TT 777. Thank you
