Looking for used lathe ...

After a few years out of cue making I am considering purchasing some equipment and doing some repair work.
Anyone know of a good Porper B Q-lathe or a complete Full size Hightower CueMaker lathe for sale?

Thanks for the heads up Gary.

Yeah ... Lot of things happened in the last few years ... Mom had a stroke and eventualy had to go into a nursing home ... no insurance to cover that so the cue shop equipment was sold.
Later she passed on, and I had had some health issues myself.
Looks like everything has worked out now and I am getting the itch to at least do some repair work.

A cue making friend moved in with me for a year or so but that did not work out.
Now I got this big shop area just sitting waiting for the equipment ... lol.

I have just ordered a new Porper B Q-lathe from Mueller's.
After seeing what was out there I decided a new lathe would be best for a new start.
I doubt I will ever make cues like I did before as it takes so much equipment and space ...but repair work, re-wrap, and re-finishing is what I am looking at for now.

Wish I had my Unique Cuemonster CNC machine back ... man ... was that a killer machine.
Perhaps some day in the future I will come across a nice used one from some cuemaker that is upgrading.

Did the used stuff you found earlier today not work out?

No Chris, He kept making arrangements to meet up with me then would put me off at the last minute.
He had a stroke a while back and his mind is gone and I dont want to deal with his son.
His equipment has been in storage for a few years and I can only imagine its condition.
But at the right price the tooling and other odds and ends would have been a nice thing to get hold of.

I plan to get another CNC machine sometime this year to do inlays in pens and cues.

Met up with a Friend (Ryan) who at my advise bought one of your cue lathes a while back and he asked me to help him set it up and show him some things as all he has turned is pens on a smaller wood lathe.
We cleaned the lathe ways and lubed it up, adjusted the drive belt, and cut some wood.
It is a sweet running unit.
I am thinking we are going to partner up on cue and pen making.
I told him about your other tail stock for his lathe.
He seems to have a lot more marketing knowledge with the pens and has been very successful selling them.
This is also one of the reasons I chose to cancel my order with you and get the Porper B Q-lathe instead. Plus, they had one ready to ship.
