good find and quick too!!! all this drama and the flood gates of what appear to be knock offs have begun.

those have been there for a long time now. i believe they are of the old pvc tube variety. if u refer to the other thread, the picture jack showed of a knockoff also had the zipper and handle arrangements like these and he confirmed that he made them like that at one point or another. these look to be real justis cases, they are the same ones on the J&J website. i'm sure if they were fake jack would have noticed it by now since the j&j website is very popular.

also i seem to recall someone selling an old justis case resembling the shark one in the picture at the bottom of that auction and the zipper arrangement was the same.
 
I can confirm that my Justis case has the same zipper arrangement. It looks like the picture was just reversed (top to bottom). The top opens away from the handle, in the correct direction and the brass rivets match mine as well.

The "tell" that I have identified so far is that the knockoffs do not have the flaps of the handle under the outer casing like Jack's. In my interactions with Jack years ago he stressed that as a key feature for his cases as being a much stronger technique for attaching the handle.

I'd leave it up to Jack Justis to give us the "straight skinny" on this. Myself? I no longer visit or buy from ebay...too many scams...

Danktrees.....I had the same exact case that you are talking about. Same colors with the same exact shark emblem engraved on both sides. Was stupid and sold it a while back............................mike
 
This is crazy sh!t. Will people please stop and read before even posting some. At those prices, those gotta be real. Only a fool will buy them at those prices if they are knock-offs.

I bought a 4 x 8 soft Instroke from Brett. He is a real good guy to deal with. Although, I was a little disappointed that the case had bands to hold the cues, in lieu of pouches.
 
You guys

all mention that the 'Knockoffs' have the handle and strap on the other side, but I have never seen a 'left handed' case unless it was ordered that way.

Cases usually have the handle where if carrying with the right hand, the pockets face outward from your body with the top of the case in front.

Handles on the other side would be a 'Left handed' case.
 
The cases in the ad are my cases but in the editing process they mirror imaged the original photos which is why the cases appear in reverse.
