Agreed.Sorry, but there's just no way I can watch De Niro anymore.
Your favorites are actors too.Sorry, but there's just no way I can watch De Niro anymore.
Why not?Sorry, but there's just no way I can watch De Niro anymore.
I think because we've seen him in so many similar roles that we can no longer take him seriously as someone other than a mobster. Why not?
Those are all the same roles.DeNiro is past his prime in acting, however, a younger version of Chaz Palminteri or Andy Garcia would be a good fit.
I think even John Tuturro, ala Color of Money, could pull it off. He is a very talented actor and anyone that’s seen him in HBO’s mini-series, The Night Of, can appreciate just how good of an actor he is. I don’t think picking a big name past their prime acting days is the way to go. DeNiro’s performance will always be compared with his greatness in Scorsese films like Mean Streets, The Deerslayer, Taxi Driver, Cape Fear, Good Fellas, Casino or Coppola’s Godfather Ii and Michael Mann’s Heat. The undeniable fact is DeNiro is very talented actor and appeared in terrific movies. You can’t disguise his acting greatness.
Hustling hasn't been lost. It just takes a longer time now and it has evolved to sandbagging or two players hustling their backers.
Isn’t pool trying to forget about that.I think a movie about the (alleged) dumping at the 1991 Challenge of Champions would be great, especially as a comedy.
The Deerslayer
You still have to act and deliver a convincing portrayal of the character. Additionally, cinema critics, his acting peers,Those are all the same roles.
The Color of Money movie. I'm assuming they are going to watch it as many times as they can and use that as a reference.More importantly who are the pool consulting? Inquiring minds . . .
