Loose Wood Threads

I am not sure exactly what you mean. If you are speaking about a stainless steel pin screwing into wood threads such as a 3/8-10 pin then you will need to have the shaft plugged and new threads tapped. It is relatively inexpensive and is a sure fix.

There are two ways to accomplish what you want to do.

1) Bore a larger diameter hole and cut out the threads, and insert a plug that can either be Phenolic Rod or a wooden dowel. I insert a Phenolic dowel in all the shafts of all the cues I build that are wood to wood flat faced. It is stronger than wood and it also doesn't have the tendency to move / swell in high humidity like wood sometimes will, it also will give you a tighter fit than most wood threads depend upon the technique used for threading.

2) Another method that some people us is to slightly moisten the existing threads in the shaft. They do this by taking a moist cue tip and running it down inside the shaft. It may take a few times, but it will cause the threads to swell a little. But, do not under any circumstances use the Eddie Wheat technique and pour water down inside the shaft, this will most likely either cause the shaft to warp or cause far to much swelling of the wood fibers. I personally would not use any of the above techniques involving adding moisture to any shaft. If it were me I would only use the techniques listed in 1 or 3.

3) Last opinion, I have been told and tried this once myself. Super glue can be applied down inside the shaft to strengthen the existing threads. However, in many cases the shaft will need to have a tap run through it after the glue is dry to clean up the excess. The one time I tried doing this it worked pretty well, and I have had no complaint from the customer to date, and that was two years ago.
Take care

You can put some thin super glue in the shaft but be careful not to get it on the shaft.also make sure it is dry before you screw it together .

can you put candle wax? a cuemaker here in our country suggested to put candle wax in the male thread.

Wow, the CM really said that?

Put a candle wax on a surface and press it. What happens?

You can put some soft auto wax, on a Q tip & swab the female threads. Whan it drys the threads will be tighter. I have done it often & it works well...JER

I have used the super glue method. Apply thin super glue as evenly as possible to the wood threads in the shaft. Let it dry completely. If they are not in too bad a shape this may be all that is necessary. I have had a couple where a second or third application has been necessary. It is also a good idea to retap (clean the threads) and reface the shaft (just a clean up pass). My results have been good with this method. :)
