What happened to the linen wrap days?
Now, almost everyone wants some exotic handles.
From bocote to bubinga to ebony to ironwood to mango .
Pieces are in varying stages and configuration.
Some will be cored, some not and some just extended at the bottom with a threaded dowel.

what kind of wood are the pieces 4th and 5th from the right?

I still love linen, Joey, but I must admit that these
woods are beautiful and will look even better on
the finished product. Very nice!

That bland looking birch seems to blend into the crowd, obscured by the color & figure of the others. My money says it turns out to be the ugly duckling who turns into the beautiful swan ;)

That birch is a mango. :D
Gotta get a few of those sent out for stabilization.
Gotta get more ironwoods too.

No kidding? Looks like massur birch, nothing like the mango I have. The stuff I have is stained & kinda nasty colored.

I have a few striped mango I'd trade.
I can't get the curly Koa's anymore so this is the closest thing.

I'm a linen fan myself, just looks and feels right to me. But, I can appreciate a beautiful wood handled wrapless cue....some nicely figured wood that works well with the rest of the cue can look fantastic. And this is some good looking wood!

What I don't get is leather, especially exotic leather wraps. Always looks cheesy and gaudy to me and I don't care for the feel. Smooth leather is okay, I guess, but I often see cues I'd love if it weren't for a horrible lookng lizard skin wrap.

that middle bocote piece has fantastic figure 2 it
what are the 2 pieces to the left of it
those are my favourites of em all

I prefer the feel of the clear coated wrapless
and a smooth leather,be it imitation or not
the key is the smooth feel for me
the linen is no longer an option for me
