Low Deflection 13mm Shafts

Other than the Predator FAT shaft, are there any low deflection shafts that are available in a full 13mm or close to it (e.g., 12.9mm)?

Aren't all "pro taper" LD shafts "close" to 13mm? Is 12.75mm (with them falling between 12.65-12.85 for the most part) really that far from what you consider acceptable (12.9)?
 
The McDermott G-Core is a 13mm although it is not marketed as an "LD" shaft it is marketed as a "high performance" shaft but I have one and it deflects a lot less than a standard shaft, it is kind of the 1/2 way mark between the 2.
 
Many custom makers will make you a LD shaft (light and small ferrule) in any diameter you want, probably for about the same price as a off-the wall one.

The Players HXT, while it does deflect more than most LD shafts, is 12.75 but the one I got felt a lot thicker, close to 13.
 
It seems that many cue makers are now making ld shafts, not laminated, that seem to work just fine. I'm sure you could find one who would make one any size you want.
 
PGHteacher...The G-Core shafts come in three sizes...from 11.75 (the one I have) to 13mm.

Looks like the OB XL and Classic XL just made it to store shelves... sucks I just ordered a Classic Pro, had this one been available a few days ago I might have given it a try since it would have made my order a little cheaper! :mad:

are you serious???? bro if the XL shaft had been available you'd have gotten that instead of getting the OB classic pro. you'd have gotten a 13.2mm shaft but since you couldn't get one you picked up a shaft that's 11.75mm?

Viking has just released the ViKORE LD shaft, 13mm Standard. Retail $179. PM me for details.

i have the g-core which i have shot with for the past year and i love it. i believe mine is 13mm and wasn't too expensive at $125. i recently bought the OB-1 which has the same taper but a little smaller at 12.75mm and i have to say i give it a thumbs up! a little getting used to with how much more spin you can put on the cue ball but so far...definitely an increase on what i can do with it. i guess its all in the players opinion
 
Originally my Joss Hi-Pro shaft was 13mm. If you find one, let me have first dibs on it!
