LP Custom Cues

First, I would like to thank everyone that has responed to this person.

I, at this point, have given up trying to communicate with this individual.

Below (In RED) is the only PM I have sent him...

"What is your problem???

If you have an issue with me, call me.

Be a man!!

Lee Peppers
(804)781-6650"

Defensive??? I don't think so.

All I ask is if you have a personal issue with me then give me a call.
If you don't like the way I run my business, stay away.

If I'm guilty of anything, I'm guilty of being a little behind in my work.
Like I have said before, I have absolutely nothing to hide.
All of my customers are treated the same, makes no difference to me how the order was placed, only that the order is in my hands and being built.

I have shown pictures of cues in the gallery and customers have shown there confidence in me. Not sure what else I can do at this point.

Bottom line is I can run a raffle if I want to and you have no business telling me I can't.

All you have to do is read, and do your homework. Not singling out LP or anybody else. These are simply obvious observations, to anyone who cares to view them. Until there is some evidence of results, these raffle cues are not cues at all. So simple. Holding 7.5 K plus, no cues. What else is there to say? Would you care to donate 7.5K to me?

Alright, then...

When was the first cue raffled??

When was the proposed delivery date?

Have any of the raffled cues been delivered at this point?

Are you a person who won a raffled cue?

If not, why are you so concerned?

If yes, then why didn't you use your real screen name?

Lastly, how do you know that update pics of cues are not being directly emailed to the customer?

Your approach to this is what concerns everyone....

Selling a cue in a raffle is not much different than having a web site, which Lee does and advertising on AZ which many cue makers do. They take orders for custom cues, give the buyers as best a time frame as possible to when they can expect a cue.

Raffling a cue is not a bad way to generate cash flow. People have fun with the prospect of winning a custom for $15. The person who won gets a custom for pretty much nothing. Just because you win a raffle doesn't mean you get bumped to the first of the line to get a cue and I doubt anyone that has won a raffle expects to do so. You take your place in line along with myself and the rest of us.

So far there is only one person in this thread that feels compelled to complain. Speaks volumes on how the winners of the raffles feel as well as the rest of us that are waiting for our cues.

If rest of us aren't concerned, whats the big deal?
I've not been disappointed yet and I'm waiting on my 4th cue in a tad over a year. I'd say thats a pretty good average for a busy cue maker. Lee does this full time and depends on a steady cash flow to operate. Its an ingenious way to pay the bills. One can call Lee as early in the morning as you want and Lee answers the phone. Hes not out partying with his cash flow, hes in the shop 24/7 working.
I bet hes wishes he could have a bit of time to himself once in a blue moon.

I doubt the Op has involved himself in a raffle or has had the pleasure of playing with an LP. If he had, then he'd know that its worth the wait.

Hi, from what you have all told, everyone has a forearm pic, and no idea about the cue's progress. Were these forearms built to your spec? Some have said existing stock. Anyone have a cue to talk about?

I got a pic of a finished cue minus the wrap. Waiting on 2 shafts which anyone knows takes time. I'd rather wait 2 months for a finished shaft than get one that warps. I've cut shafts down in one day just to see what happens. Its my shaft wood for my cues so I can do that if I like.

I won a raffle at the beginning of May. The given delivery date was I believe 6 months, which meant November. I was excited hoping I could get it early. As of today I don't have the cue but am not upset. Lee has been great with communication and told me he was behind. I expect to receive the cue in the next couple of weeks.

When I email Lee I usually get a response within a few hours. His communication is damn near immediate and he answers any questions I have.

Although I haven't received my raffle cue, my confidence in Lee and his many satisfied customers have brought me to order two more cues from Mr. Peppers.

Anyone who is apprehensive because of this thread shouldn't worry. There are tons of cues Lee has posted in the gallery and they all look fantastic.

Everyone, to a man, has missed the point. The only point being, show us the progress on the raffle cues, or not. If I were to be the one responsible to make these, I would gladly bombard this forum with pics, or details, regarding these cues. Or not. I would provide reasons why, or why not, there are no cues to show. Rather than showing cues, and trying to sell cues, which have no customer, that are in progress, I would be showing cues that do have a customer. What is so difficult? Just say it. Where do they stand?

Juggernaught I hate to say this. But it is time for you to back off. Raffle customer's are not concerned. Regular Customers are not concerned. Only you. I do understand where you are coming from. Truly I do, but to be honest it is none of you're business. You are bordering on Libel with you're accusations. I suggest taking a chill pill and wait for the cues in question to be finished.

I ordered a cue form a well known maker(not Lee, whom will get an order from me later next year). I ordered it in the beginning of March. Due date was originally last week of July or first week of August. The deadline was missed. I was told it would not be done in time. Second and third deadlines were missed also. I was informed each time and a reason was given. I just received it just before Christmas. The cue was above and beyond all of my expectations. The cue is absolutly wonderful. I was never worried. If I sent an E-mail it was answered in a timely fashion. I made a number of changes in the original order so a bunch of the delays were my fault. It turned out just fine in the end.

So being you have no horse in this race. And no one else is concerned I would suggest you back off and let the man do his job.

Oh, but I believe he does have a horse in this race. Don't you Juggernaut74 ????

It's all coming together.

I am certainly not concerned about me. I am only trying to look out for those who have won a raffle. I have been in touch with at least 4 people, and none of them know anything about their cue's progress. That is, was, my only concern. I work with one of the winners, and more than a few friends are registered here on AZ. I am acting alone, based on their observations, and what I have been told. I have been a member for only a short time, but have been observing for a long time. I only log in when I have something to say. I can view anytime. So, for those who think I am a newbie, they are wrong. I have entered several raffles along the way, and won a few, but not this one. A couple friends of mine have won the LP raffles. They are both just frustrated at the lack of positive response. Nuff said. I'm done here.

Hey KY Boy, hows it going? Still no word on Stroke. Like KY said, im one of the friends that give rave reviews on Lee's cues. Jugger i dont understand why you are so concerned. I could see the concern if a new cuemaker just came on here with no feedback no itrader etc. and raffled off $7,000 worth of cues. But i assure you that Lee has an established business that is doing quite well. He has made 200+ cues and established a great reputation. Why would he put that in jeopardy. Im sure with the orders he doesnt have the time to be a therapist. If you order a custom expect minimum 6 months and average of a year. You dont need to be assured every couple weeks on the progress. If you want to make a change just email the cuemaker and see what stage he is at and see if you can request the change.

I shouldn't have to do this but I am to prove a point.
I really get the feeling that this person thinks there is some kind of scam here.
These are about half of the raffle cues. There are two others that are in line with these, the rest are under constuction. One developed a cracked buttsleeve and I am currently replacing it and the other has very intricate ringwork that is being put together. Both of these customers know whats going on.

Speak up if you see your cue !!!!!!!!

Most of the raffle cues were upgraded with inlays or ringwork that obviously will take longer than the posted 6 month time frame. All of this was discussed with the raffle winners at the time. It's pretty self explainitory, more work equals more time to build.

Like I have said before, anyone that has questions about there cue, please call, PM, or email.
It's not like I'm hiding !!! My phone number is below..
Has anyone called, PMed, or emailed that did't get a response within an hour???? I would like to know if there has been.

I feel lucky to have met up with Lee about 2 years ago, and I sent him the specs I wanted for my yearly cue build. I sent him about 1/2 the cost and 4 months later I had my cue in hand!....no knock to Schon, but my full on custom LP cost less then the entry level Schon!!!!

Lee is a good dude in the world of Custom Cues.

Gerry...LP is my daily player!

What do you have against Lee?

He raffles off cues that are yet to be built and many find that to be an awesome idea, that's why they fill up so fast.

If any of the people you contacted wanted to know the progress of their cue, they could pm Lee and he would get back to them as soon as possible. I had a sneaky conversion made a while back and contacted Lee multiple times about the progress and he responded everytime even though it was only a conversion. I now have an extra shaft on order and don't need to worry about the progress of the shaft because i know Lee will do the job right and i will get a quality shaft.

You really need to think about what you post, bashing someone who is working hard to make a name for themself is wrong. The raffles Lee holds aren't the only cues he's building and everything takes time. Lee has proven himself trustworthy and shouldn't have to stop eveything he's doing to post progress of cues that don't belong to you, but he did so hopefully you drop this witch hunt.

On a side note, i definitely have to start entering these raffles lol those cues look real sharp.

Wow, blue veneers with a blue butterfly, same with the flame veneers.
Mine looks like the one on the bottom, minus the joint collar.
If the war department wasn't on my case and myself selling a few of my collection, I'd be buying more from Lee.

She, who cannot be fooled (most of the time anyway) must not know of my evil plan to obtain more cues.

You said to speak up. Like I said, i won a raffle in May. Mine is the ebony with the purple heart handle. Great looking cue Lee. That's exactly what I ordered. Can't wait to get it in my hands.

Like he said, although he shouldn't have to prove himself, those with faith knew he was doing a great job.

Your questions have been answered in the pics above. No one should have anything more to say on the matter.

It would seem that Juggernuts is genuinely concerned for his 2 friends.
Nothing wrong with that at all. Its good to have friends in your camp.

I have a suspicion that quite possibly, his 2 buds may have never dealt with a custom order before and maybe don't know how to deal with it properly.

Instead of throwing gasoline on the fire, maybe help them so they have a better understanding of what to expect.

As someone mentioned, Lee always gets back within a short time on an email or PM.

If Lee had to take daily progress pics for everyone, then surely the complaints would start. Lee would say, " How can I work on cues, I spend 50% of my working day taking pictures, uploading them to my PC and then posting them or sending them off in emails".

Juggernaut74, contact me so we can discuss what needs to be done as it appears you have more than one account.

Well, it seems that Briangip202 and Juggernaut74 are the same person.
I'm not sure if I should do this but I am anyway.
I did a little investigating myself and it seems juggernaut74 won a raffle that was being held by Briangip202.
If they are the same person that is fraud!!!
He comes on here and tries to discredit my name, all the while he has committed fraud in the raffle section.
This guy has balls the size of boulders.
Here is the link to the raffle...
