Well, sold my last cue, and looking to pick up something to replace it that won't cost me an arm or a leg - still a few months from getting back on my feet after being unemployed.
I am looking for a dufferin butterfly splice cue, since I really like how those dufferins hit(especially with a hard water buffalo tip) - could be one already converted, or one I can get converted to a better joint. Used to own a nice one converted by Rat cues, and I really miss it.

Also, any butterfly splice cue in the $300 range would be perfect. I am just looking to pick up a player that I can use for league in between my ability to save money for a more expensive cue, since that will be quite a few months. All I have now to shoot with is a $20 ebay cheapo cue, and while it shoots very well for me, I just want to put another cue in my 4x8 case to play with that might be a little fancier. The case is lonely.

I hope to eventually get back to getting a sugartree cue, and I also have a really spectacular cue coming from Jim Lee in the next few months once he has it completed(already paid for when I was employed), but I want a player to use while I build up my funds to help fill my 4x8 case.

Help a brother out who has finally started getting back on his feet!!!

Hi Michael,

I acquired this Maccassar Ebony Butterfly Dufferin about six months ago. I have not decided what do with it yet. Convert or just replace the tip and ferrule. The cue was refinished a few years ago by Pat Diveney (i read this on a previous thread). I will post pictures here but if you are intertested you can call me and we can discuss pricing.

That is exactly what I was looking for, but I just stumbled upon a schick dufferin conversion that I just had to have, and stayed way under my budget. Will post pics of it later:thumbup:

But if I save up a little more $$$, I might be calling you about this one.

BTW - What is the market value of a straight good condition dufferin conversion by Mr. Schick with an engraved butt plate?
Never had one before, and I was just wondering.

i have a beautiful dufferin 4-point with butterfly splice butt section

has a special option joint from dufferin, to wood joint, to brown phenolic and green rarer maple leaf. rolls true and flat and straight, hits great,
hits harder than a hustler wood to wood joint, but much softer than the metal pin/joint.

Dont miss a very rare unit, to be played as-is or changed and converted more, its your choice.
