Hey guys just seeing what is available here before I go to my regular sources. I am looking to buy a ivory piece for a joint and for a butt cap. They can be less then a inch long both.

Thanks

Nope not yet. Still waiting to see if a deal pops out before I commit full price

Well, I sincerely hope that a deal does pop up for you, so you don't have to commit to Full Price, like others had to.

You know. Others, as in people that did pay Full Pop and you are thinking, should sell to you for less than what they paid.

Sorry Buddy, at one point, I honestly thought that you had changed a bit.

I can see not.

Yer a Taker, and will never have anything to give back to people that are kind to you.

Isn't it funny, because I have Romanian blood in me also, and I am no where close to you.

Yep, know just what you mean. In December, I sent him some elk horn for joint and butt and told him to refund my mailing costs and consider the horn as a Christmas gift to someone I did not know.

Yes, the shipping cost was minor and it did not keep me from eating that week when I did not receive that cost; but, people who do not follow up on the small things make me reluctant to do any larger deal, such as the ivory he now needs.

I sent him my address not too long ago, at his request. I had sent it at least twice before but my posts must not get through.

Anyway, there are lots of nice folks on AZB and I am sure he must be one also. He might be a little forgetful.

Now I know why he didn't reply when I sent him a message offering to sell him the horn he was in search of.

All the replys make me thing that he really does play with broom stick cues as his tag line says ... I thought it was just a joke.

He was going to buy things from me twice, and he would send funds when he returned home. He was out of town and that was months ago and still waiting.

Thanks guys for the wonderful comments. Really miss my fans. I found the items I was looking for.

Speaking of antlers. A friend of mine gave me a small Moose rack. Not going to get much out of them, but I suspect a little.

I'm from Saskatchewan. Lots of First Nations people and most are decent pool players.

I was playing a friend a few nights ago and he showed me a pic on his phone of a absolutely huge Deer Shed that he had found on the Rez.

He told me that he has no use for them, just picks them up for something to do.

I suspect that I am going to end up with that set. He will get mucho beer for that set when he brings them in.

He beats me on the table for lots of beer anyway, so at least I will get something out of it.

Just from the pic, I can see butt caps, collars and ferrule size pieces.

Myself, I have never seen a shed that big.

He must have seen my eyes light up.

It reminds me of that cue that BHQ built with a full antler handle. That is thing was just amazing, not to mention super rare.

Funny, any thread that you have started and got caught up in your little Grab, you have ended it by announcing that you already found the material that you were looking for.

Just so you could get out of it rather gracefully. I don't believe it.

However, it is too bad that you ended up in this position, because there is a lot of knowledge here and very generous people.

For a start, I always try and include enuff extra to pay the Pay Pal fees. And if it is a special favor, I always include extra to buy a gallon or so of fuel. Ya know, people have to use a vehicle to run to the PO, time, packaging etc.

I have often wondered if I have actually given enuff. Sometimes, it isn't about the actual cost as much as the thought behind doing favors.

But come on. When you can't even reimburse someone for postage. You get a good deal once, but then, that is probably the last time they will feel like dealing with you.

I would rather try to keep the good will going.

Ok, this is from someone with vast experience in dealing with people (customers) for over 40 years. The answer is... do you actually expect anything different from a 20 year old; the entitlement generation who believes we owe it to them? They believe if someone is stupid enough to send them something for free that's their problem? They don't know anything about morality or doing the right thing. It's all about them. I've never in my 40 years of doing business had such a time dealing with those in their 20's and even 30's. For the most part, they're just plain ignorant. It's a different world out there for sure. :frown:

Joe, I can remember back when Cue Components age was single digit.
You had your share of controversy back then but you weathered the storm and emerged a winner with a really fine business.
I know that was not an easy road.
I got to admire success wherever I see it.

Looking at his I-Trader and the comments says it all....
Buyer/Seller beware
