I found a nice Lucasi cue at a pawn shop, and Im looking for original pricing, specs, etc. The cue has turquoise rings and inlays, black wrap, and a white buttcap, with the number 607 opposite the Lucasi script. The internet turned up no results. If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure that the 607 is a production number not a model number.
My Lucasi has 711 on the butt cap.

I figured that. Sh*t. Its a really nice looking cue.

Does anyone know if all Lucasi cues use the hollow shaft tech thing?

Looked at my L-2004NB and it has #610 on the buttcap. I believe the post about the month and date being that number is prob correct. A buddy had a L-2004NB, same as my cue, and it had #508 on it. Been watching a lot of Lucasi cues lately, I wouldn't pay over $120 for it IMO. Maybe $150 if you really liked it and it was in really good shape. :D

I've been watching a lot of lucasi cues on ebay here and there for the last couple months. Many have been going for around $100-120. (Various models) Excluding hybrids of course.

Ahh. thank you. Well thats that for this cue. The guy wants 150 for a used, somewhat dinged up cue. Thanks for all the help everyone.

i've heard that number is the date of manufacture...year first, then month

Mine has 711 on it. I bought it 6/09 so if it is year first then it was made a couple of years before I bought it ?
What is really cool is that there was a famous pool room in New York city named 7-11.
Now here is the spooky part. Back in the '60s when 7-11 was open I lived in NJ and went to that room a handful of times. What are the odds that in 2009 I would buy a cue that has that number on it ?

its not unusual for a cue to sit around for a few years until it gets to you. it could be time shipping to US, sitting in a distributor warehouse, then finally sitting in a retailer's rack until you buy it.

the date/number thing does seem to fit with the Lucasi cues I have too. I have some really new models that have a 10 date to them (makes sense) and a very old one that has a 2007 date (in line with when I bought it).

that's neat you have a number that means something to you!

one thought i had since the cues have a date on it, might be useful in picking out a lucasi cue. a cue with an older date might be more desirable in that it has proven to be stable....if the cue is still straight after x number of years, then it has a higher chance of staying straight for the rest of its life.
