Lucasi authenticity

I own a Lucasi, I purchased a Billiard Warehouse made by Lucasi, supposedly only 25 were made, in any case I just like the look and is my current break cue. With the Radial pin and non Stailess joint it would rivial alot of more expensive cues out there Playability wise. IMO, where its made doesnt concern me, because before Lucasi, you couldnt get an affordable cue that played as well as Lucasi.

I also think people need to leave Politics to the politicians, I see a product that performs, and is affordable, as far as the people who actualy make the cue, or Where shouldnt matter as long as the product is good. If the American cue maker's want to fend off Lucasi sales then they need to up the anty with a better product for the same price. I see this a challenge, not a threat.

The American cue makers as well as WE Americans need to challenge our cue makers to build a better product at the same cost. Sure they proboly wont make 100% profit on every cue but the Masses of Americans will stand by our cue makers if they make an effort to compete.

A freind of mine Just purchased a base model Joss, Recieved the cue yesterday and I hate to say this but Ive seen better Player's cues. I didnt say anything, and I will keep my opinion from him on this but I cant believe the quality of these cues. Joss used to be the only cue Id use, and they are still a good cue, but for the money I'll keep my Lucasi.

Right now, best bang for the buck, American? Id have to say Schuler. having played with my Newly aquired Schuler 2 days, having my lucasi, and hitting with a brand new joss yesterday the Schuler by far is superior, better hit, more spin, and the balance is perfect. The Only cue even close would be Schon, and I hate to say it but the Schuler imo is the better cue.

Best of Luck,

I have to agree with this(A Friend of mine Just purchased a base model Joss, Received the cue yesterday and I hate to say this but Ive seen better Player's cues.) I am a retailer and own a pool room, and I would have to say with McDermott's Warranty you get allot for a Little. Their high end cues $500 and above are some of the best Production cues on the Market for Materials and quality manufacturing.

Nipponbilliards- You are right, mainland China has been investing lots of money into building and purchasing pre-existing factories. The working conditions in many (not all) is on a par with anyplace else in the world.

Buddha162- mainland Chinese workers = underpaid/little voice = low cost goods = low cost imports to the USA= unemployed American workers.
No, not actual slave labor. Labor without a voice.

Colin- ???? when did the US go communist? I thought this country was a multi party free democratic Republic with a "dynamic" free market capitalist economic system which utilizes the voice of the employees (protests, strikes, etc) as a "check and balance" to the "possible abuses of employers". Some unions may have (and perhaps still do) support communism and/or socialism, if so they don't have any idea what side their breads buttered on. When was the last (or even the first) time anybody saw a "union" in a communist country go out on strike? Doesn't happen, tanks would roll if it did. The folks in Hong Kong and other recently reaquired areas are getting a pass when it comes to Chinese government involvement but that is only for a certain amount of time. Later?.....who knows!

I support the reforms the government of China has made, but they need to do more.

Terry < done with this whole discussion.

Very well said Tbeaux/Terry!
Just because it's made in China does not mean it's slave labor << would guess it very a very slim chance that it was slave/prisoner labor. We vote with our dollars every day. you want a low cost cue that's fine, I don't like the fact that promoted inlays are actually stick-on decals.
Shame on you Colin!
