I remember seeing a copy of this book years ago. The interesting thing was the stobe-light pictures used to track the path of the balls.

Anyone else remember this book? I've been looking for a copy and have been unsuccessful.

I have the book at home. The only thing I can recall off-hand about it is that it contains my favorite quote from Luther. Though he made the most difficult shots look effortless, he said about pool, "this game is tough as a cob." He had the proper respect for the game.

Billiards for Everyone, Luther Lassiter, 1971, large paperback, 93 pages. The site http://used.addall.com lists several copies for under $10. The strobe-light images were slightly doctored to make the ball paths more visible.

I found a very good used copy at a second hand book store.At the time I figured I scored a collectors item, however, it turns out that the books

That's true. I picked up a copy on Ebay this year for about $2 plus shipping. It's really a beginner's book, poolwise, but I wanted it mostly for the collection of Wimpy photographs. I was not disappointed.

His best quote (not in this book) was saying he would walk into a room, and watch a player for one hour. If the player missed one shot, Wimpy knew he could beat him.
