anyone ever play with one, and not just break with it? how do they jump? I'm getting one from Daytona Joe, and want to know what to expect as I don't have it yet. I want to make it my playing cue. any thoughts on this? comments or opinions are welcome. thanks,Jeff

The over and under for this cue to go for sale here is 8 weeks,
But, Mace breaks and jumps well.
I recommend a hard water buffalo tip.

I got 20 on the under...hell I would take 2 weeks and STILL bet the under.

Mace's are a stiffer McDermott is all...a VERY stiff hitting McDermott, or at least the ones I have broke with. They have a fat butt and smack the u-know-what out of the ball.

hahaha! you guy are SO funny...not! if I decide I don't like it, and decide to sell it, it won't be here. it's guys like you two that are the reason. don't you guys have better things to do than knock me? if not...that's sad. you really don't have alot of room to talk there Shorty, as you buy and sell more cues than I've ever even owned.

Yes...I buy and sell cues....and if you will notice something else, my playing cue has NEVER changed during this time...I don't screw around with that. You will never get any better at the game of pool if you don't ever settle on a cue and stick with it. I am sorry if you are too stubborn to realize that...but it is the truth. I buy and sell cues that I just test hit and then pass them on...just as a hobby. I have had my Schon over a year and a half and been shooting with a Predator for 2 years now. Before that I had an Arnot for 5 years that I played with...it had a laminated shaft much like this Predator that had little deflection. I don't buy a cue I have never hit to make it my playing cue...I may slide it in as a backup cue or something, but never change your primary cue.

That's probably the best advice you will ever get out of me for free...the rest will cost ya.

Mace? isnt that what they used in the 1600's? I think the IPT is going to require their use. Slow nap cloth. Gimme a break.

Isn't that a Mace J/B being held in your picture? It looks just like the one I have.

I have a water buffalo tip on mine and it breaks and plays great. Can't speak for Rick's playing cues but I have a hunch you'll like it.

Hey, Shorty, how do you like the Racin Chaison cue?
I have been intrigued by his cues but haven't bitten yet.

He is an up and coming cuemaker! aka...it's a piece of junk, don't bother.

Seriously...I use it for a house cue, and it's not even good for that.

actually...it's a woodworth cue I let go of and kinda regret. other than the cue...that's my boy Alex.

I think that you will like it, I own two of Ricks jump breaks(mace) and l love the way they play, jump(I can actually jump just as good with a waterbuffalo on my mace than with my bunjee with a phenolic), and break. One has a moori hard on it and the other has a water buffalo. Whenever I can fully deside what I want I am going to have Rick make me a matching pair (playing cue and jb). I have played with alot of other jb's and I think that there isnt alot of cues that can hang with this one, you really cant go wrong buying a Rick Howard because he actually backs up his product. I have a stl 13 schon that just sits in my case i would rather play with a 300 dollar Mace. just my 2c
