hey guys how did you like the shaft/ butt vertical design?? you all say its a work horse well believe that for sure its made to last . and why pay less for a smaller machine when all you have to do is put in less shafts are butts also if bussiness gets really good you have the machine to provide your customer the product they desire without having to order in another machine to fill the void a horzonal machine takes up tons of space and you always have gravity working againest you pulling down on your shafts and butts but not with this design the shafts and butts will be straighter than ever and rounder not oval also you don,t have to have 4 horzonal machine cutting 2 shafts at once just to get 8 and do the math 100 dowells a first pre taper takes 300 passes on a single machine this one less than 40 passes your done then you can move on to your finish work. ha!! don,t forget those other 100 shafts that need .020 thousands passes about every 3 months then your everyday cutting of forearms and handles this machine is not for china producers its for custom cue builders that want the straightess cues they can build and not have to set and watch a one shaft are 2 shaft machine set and cutt for hours at a time when they could be doing things to better the design of the cue are other things also i will be coming out thru another company with a machine to make threaded ferulles just load it and walk away and i also will be coming out with a lathe that is both manual and cnc and will do everything including inlay work and will have to chucks and it will cut four shafts vertically at one time are butts this may be better for some people than buying just a turning center.i,am also working on a machine design to do half splice and full splice v points and it will do recuts for overlays and it can all be done with veneers and it will do finish cuts and pre cuts on the forearms without removing it but if you want to remove it, it will be able to be reloaded right back to its former indexings which has always been a problem when doing recuts as you all know. the machine sheldon showed is now ready for release i realize the price is higher than i first mentioned but we added the handle and forearms to the design and the complete dust collection system which is needed without a doubt this thing is a work horse of a design and takes up no room compared to a layed out hor. machine you could put 4 of these in the space of one of them. so spend the cash only once and get the machine to make more time for yourself and your family are if nothing else to give yourself more time to improve your designs are finish are whatever. the other machinres i mentioned will be coming out over the next year so set tight they will be here and this time i,am mentioning a price till there done cause theres always something to add to make cue building not only faster but better. THANKS MADISON BOB

Sounds great Bob... would be a cuemakers shop heaven...
Kinda scary thought though... the machines are kinda taking over the craftsmanship... with everything built to produce perfection... but then again...

Hey Bob, when do you estimate that your lathe will be available? What price range are you shooting for? Thanks, Martin
