A different way to say that is that the tournament director had enough problems during the event and reporting the results can end up way down the list of things to do. Back when Paul Frankel was trying to publish results of tournaments in his magazine, he had a very hard time squeezing anything out of tournament organizers, both schedule and results.

A solution is to use a central scoring platform, which would give you live results. Digital Pool is almost there, but it lacks some tournament formats. I suspect averages and high runs will never be supported.

Could not agree more. My hat is off to Mazin, Ricky and the others who generously give back to the sport. On the other hand: seven K.O. match results, that's not a lot of work. And reporters being unable to publish even the final score of the final, that's not good PR.
