Main Forum = Luther Blissett Forum now?

You two guys are embarrassing!!! One I'll give a pass to 'cause he's from Ohio :D, but YOU C.J., being from the great state of Texas ought to know better :(. A steer is a castorated male bovine and anyone can see from this picture that the "cow" on the left has never been such an animal!!!

Maniac (unless there's cross-dressing in the animal kingdom )

When you're right, you're right. I promise to stick to Holstein's from now on !

Thanks for the helpful explanation CJ et al.

I remember that that Mitsubishi 3000GT had all-wheel steer, but I suppose that doesn't lend itself to any pool-related metaphors very well.

Anyway, it's a nice day here. I hope it's a nice day wherever you are right now.

I'm just off to meet someone who has a super-cheap breaking cue for sale (which I might get as a present for my GF). Apparently the phonelic tip and ferrule are combined in a single lump. Anyone know if that's generally frowned upon in the pool world?

Other than being a violation of the equipment specifications, it's fine. Depending on exactly what fonelic is.

Damn. I hate violating things. May I ask what the reasoning is behind insisting that there be a difference between the material used for the tip and that used for the ferrule?

The problem came up when jump rods (not cues) appeared in the 1980s (or so). They were very short, light, and had hard plastic (phenolic) front ends and no tips. The powers that were were even more offended by those than by the present jump sticks and rules were made to prevent them.

My "need for speed" now takes a back seat to just getting from point A to point B

How did you know about the Mitsubishi 3000 All-Wheel Drive? That car was a monster, it also had Twin Turbos so it was brutally fast. Between the Dodge Stealth and that car I'm not sure how I kept from killing myself in those days as wild as I was.

My "need for speed" now takes a back seat to just getting from point A to point B in one piece. ;) 'The Game is the Teacher'

Wow, does this mean that you actually had a Mitsubishi 3000?

I only mentioned that car because of a flow of consciousness (double-steer, all-wheel-steer, Mitsubishi 3000). If you actually owned one, then that's quite a remarkable coincidence!

...Oh, and sorry about taking a while to raise this. I've been busy with things like women and, um, ...actually just that.

Funny, I had a '91 3000GT and never knew it had all-wheel steering - did they all?
