We have a match between Chris Bartrum and Tommy (Shorty) D'Alfonso that will take place tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon about 5:30 PM. I just talked with both Chris and Tommy and the match is definitely on. They are going to play two sets at $5,000 per set. I believe that the sets will be ten ahead. The plan is to play one set tomorrow and one set the next day. You can call Doug at Kickshot for directions (859-647-7468). Kickshot is in Northern KY about 20 minutes south of Downtown Cincinnati. Ya'll come on down!

(Quick directions: From I-75, take exit 181 and go west about 1.5 miles until you see a Shell Station and a McDonalds on your right. Turn right at that light and drive around to the buildings behind the tractor supply place.)

I know! I hope he didn't have to take that 10-12$/ hr job!

Wish I could see this matchup. A tight one for sure.

OK, I may be a litle slow here, but I don't catch your drift.

No problems, dimes. I know he just snapped off a nice score in Dallas against David G., but I guess I see it as a closer match. Anyway, I am really looking forward to sweating it tomorrow afternoon. I hope a few AZ people are close enough to come by and say hello.

He told me he was doing something with car sales. He had been working at that job for several weeks, but it seems he is now going back to live in Ohio. And I agree with your assessment that it will be a close match.

Black Balled inferred it, but what happened to the job in Dallas that Chris was supposedly supposed to start on Monday?

Just curious...

When I asked him, he said he had actually been working at the job for about 3 weeks. I'm not sure exactly why he quit, but he is now headed back to live in Ohio.

Chris usually gets a job selling cars every summer when action is slow. There is a dealer in Columbus that let Chris off any time he needed if he lined up some action. He was down in Texas and ran into a fellow who lived in Columbus for awhile back around 96 - 97 who is now living down there and has a car lot. Chris was working there for a short while but told me it wasn't working out as expected.

That young man that Chris is supposed to play is supposed to be some tough action. I was told that he made short work of John Brumbeck and Shannon Murphy last week. Chris gets a lot of action because he matches up fairly and likes to bet it high and always a gentleman who never brags nor cries, win or lose.

If they are playing even can somebody get in touch with a guy named Elmur who lives around there. He's probably hanging in Tom D's corner.
Have him give me a call so I can sweat some of the action.

chris

i will say this about chris, he is a perfect gentleman to gamble with. I like his style, i was in on the losing side with David down here and never did they have one disagreement or argument. When it was over they shook hands and that was that. chris is a good guy to gamble with and that is probably why he does take off some scores.

Chris sounds like a stand up guy and great guy to bet with. That is consistent with everything else I have heard about him. Hopefully, I can meet him sometime.

Thanks for the info.

Goodluck to both

But I'm pulling for Shorty. I know Chris plays good for the big money and I have never seen Shorty play for that kind of money but I think it is going to be a hard fight. Keep us posted.

chris called me and told me they were supposed to play in Dallas. I did not know it changed sites. I'll take chris for $100 to $500 if anyone would like though!! PM me if any takers.
