5-4 Hohmann- Billy and Danny both doing an excellent job on the mic.

Yes they are. Loved it early on in maybe the first match Danny said something to the effect of "He's going to get out here." Billy interjected, "Danny, POTENTIALLY he's going to get out. Danny quips, "Well I would have used that word by I didn't know it. Billy comes back, "Well, you should have done more matches with Grady." They both chuckled as did I.

Shane, showing Earl the carom shot that he made in the Mosconi Cup and sets it up and shoots the same carom shot and makes it. I guess he got lucky.

After last refresh stayed good whole match.
Shane was dominant! 4 pack to start was sweet!
Earl did have some bad luck for real haha.

For $300 you get the entire 16 DVDs of all of the matches played in this event. If you buy the PPV match, that money goes toward the purchase price of the SP. In addition you get a pool instructional book by Phil Capelle, a glossy 8 x 10 signed by all of the players, a listing of your name in the closing credits, "shout outs" on the air and a 50% discount on all other dvds for 6 months.

Shane is looking VERY STRONG in this event. He could easily have shot over 950 in his match with Earl Strickland but wound up with a measly 932 I think.

Anyway, I just thought I would say thanks to Outsville.com for picking my name for the drawing so I could watch this event. Props to Accu-Stats Video Production for another great spectacle. I actually went over to Buffalo's Billiards for a couple of hours today and watched some of the event over there. Buffalos Billiards like to buy most of the good PPVs for their customers to watch but because they don't let us listen to the commentary, I wind up watching a lot of the live streams at home.

Billy Incardona and Danny DiLiberto were great together.

Anyway, it was a good first day. More to come tomorrow.

I think 10 ball on break should spot up.
Also the no called shot on kicks is weird.
Call everything. Hate seeing luck play a part.

What did Shane's TPA end up being? He seemed like he was in dead stroke. Almost felt bad for Earl who wasn't shooting bad himself. He really is at a disadvantage with his break.

It got really uncomfortable at one point when Danny suggested a pretty ridiculous shot and Billy was pretty much at a loss for words.

Was thinking the same thing. Shane's break is so much stronger than earls it out Earl at a huge disadvantage

Day 1 top performers were Shane, Jayson and Thorsten all shooting 0.9 +
Shane displayed best break and run especially in 2nd match v Earl. Also played some great safeties
Jayson was the sharp shooter
Thorsten had best all round game playing some incredible safeties

The matches to watch today are 2nd and 3rd matches as those will narrow down the leaders

12:00pm: Kevin Cheng vs. Thorsten Hohmann
2:30pm: Darren Appleton vs. Jayson Shaw
7:00pm: Thorsten Hohmann vs. Shane Van Boening

Earl is basically out of running having lost 0-2 :grin:
