sorry, but this sounds more to me like your bitter you're getting beat by others. any one who wants to dumb down pool, is not some one who want pool to be "great." Pool is arguably one of the hardest sports to play, and play well. Getting good can take a life time and a fortune, and to boot the pay off is very little if any. Getting info into beginner and amature hands helps to grow the sport. I would be willing to bet the percentage of players that pick up the sport and quit, is FAR less today than 10, 20, and especially 30 years ago.
Fact of the matter is this, if you cant swim then get out of the water. If you don't know how to kill sharks, you better buy a boat.![]()
Sorry jhanso18, did not read your reply before; you are 100000% correct, we all know difficultly levels in pc games, like chess, what differentiate these levels is the number of possibilities the computer has to consider so at level 1 the computer might just consider two or three pieces to move, not worrying about others, at level 10 computer think with all pieces in mind to make that move which could be thousands. Pool is 100% identical to chess, the more knowledge you have, the more shots possibilities exists simply put.
And you are right, today, the knowledge is open to more population now than ever, pool halls are more than ever, and pro players are increasing
