I'm visiting Chicago on business and had the good fortune of being hosted by Patrick Johnson.

Patrick is a great guy and he was gracious enough to shoot with me a couple of days at Chris's Billiards. For those of you who have not been there you must make a trip out to Pool Mecca. The place is out of a time machine. No Jukebox. No Bar. Ugly washrooms and great tables. What God had in mind when he invented the game. If I lived in Chicago I would have never gone to University and I would be living out of my car.

I had a great time and Patrick is a fabulous host. He plays a nice game and though we both missed a few shots we seemed to make out OK without ever deploying secret CTE technology (OK I had to throw that in).

Come to think of it. I think I will dump my business on Wednesday night and sneak out for a refill.

Patrick if you ever come up to Vancouver the Steak/Sushi/Tofu and pool is on me.

It was a pleasure watching you play, Nick (these ex-snooker players shoot straight!) :). Hope I can take you up on the Vancouver hospitality some day. It's been too long since I was there.

Pictures! It's Chris's...I've seen bus stops with more amenities. You don't take pictures in church.

Sorry Kyle,
Chicago and home. Maybe next time. I love this place so much I may just move here...well until it snows and then I'll pack up the Spartan's and go back to west coast.
