Mark Gergory Master Table Mechanic and a True Craftsman

Thank you Charles for all the kind words, also to all of the other members on here with such kind and positive words. I just want my customers to be happy with their pool table investment. I really believe after 30 yrs. of playing, I truly do understand how a pool table should play. I'm more than sure I'm no going to please everyone, but I will do the best job that I can.

Thank you all so much
Mark Gregory

Hey Mark, glad to see it's not just us old Georgia flunkies giving you props these days. Hope you are staying busy. Now that I am single again, you better watch out before I hit you up for a job! Hope you are getting to play some too. Best decision maker I ever saw(when his head was in it )

I put Mark in the box several times...got quite a few stories..some good...some not so good...I still get teased from time to time bout this 1 time i got Mark playing 1 of New Orleans biggest fish..aka....Tenneco..well Tenneco got almost 10k behind him this night..and everybody that knows beannie pop..."another nickname Tenneco had"..well he's known for never quiting ..and we got him starting off playing 9ball banks for $400 a game...they play for a bit..Tenneco wins the 1st 3 games..mark wins next 5...Tenneco wins 2 & Mark quits...His sinuses were messing with him or something..I was trying to get his mindset right telling him..let's take this guy off..Tenneco got his nose wide open & is trying to up the bet..Not quit..lol..But we wound up even instead of picking up that 10k...Tennaco was a c+ player at best....I was sick..lol

I don't want to get off track of what the thread was started about, but to get the story right we did break even. The bet 100 a game banks on the bar box, and Tennaco quit because he said he had more money owed to that he needed to pick-up over at the Casino and we could bet higher with the spot. We go back to the Casino follow this guy around for two hours, get something to eat, all the time following this guy around asking are we going back and play more or not. Yea Yea Yea soon as I find this guy, trust me, I was all in about 10:00 am. I left town the next day, and that was 10 yrs. ago
I don't mind stories Troy, just ones that are true.

I'm still long time friends, even though we haven't seen one another for yrs.
Trust me, it would take a lot better player than Tennaco to make me hit the rack. Those day's are over now for me, I'm done with the road pool. I'll stick to working on pool tables, and just a little one pocket.

Hey Matt, I'm sorry to here, hope all is well other than that. Yes, I've been busy lately doing a lot of work for Brunswick. I sure hope Brunswick continues giving me some set-up work for them.
You know how things work in life, keep you're head up and keep going forwards. I may have 23 tables to recover in Fla. if you need some work I'll let ya know if they call.

Take care brother

Nah, man, I was just kidding. We both know that I would slow you down so much you would end up having to pay them, lol. As for the split, oh well, that's life. Glad to hear that you are keeping busy. You deserve it.

U remember it a lil different than i do..we deffinately wasn't playing for $100 a game...Ricky P called me & steered me on him telling me all the money he had in chips...he cashed out with 6k frpm the no limit poker table he was playing at and had a partner...I don't mind stories either but I never forget action that i was in...You said u had a headache & we could catch him tomorrow that u wasnt feeling right..Ya'll went back to motel after we had gone back to the casino and ate..If u remember right I let u keep all the winnings from them other scores to cover the nut...Tennaco called me the next day & said..I know u got u a champion..I'll play him anyway same way...I called u & u told me ya'll had checked out & were already on the otherside of texas headed to Vegas to play in the world 8ball championship..so we got a double bad beat...Take care...Troy

OMG mark was stealing and didnt know it

I have never heard of Tenneco having that kind of money. I played him banks for 50 and 100 once and he was stuck 600. He had mentioned earlier that he had a little over 800 on him...
He asked me to raise it to 200 a game. LOL I told him I know you only have 800. He said who cares I aint quitting and neither are you so lets get it going.
I didnt raise it but I did get the $$.

I played him once over on the west bank playing 8ball by candlelight and lanterns. The power went off and it didnt phase him. He rounded up the lights and said break'em. We were already about 2 hours in and he was stuck. I knew he wasnt quititing though.

Yea..old walter..aka..Tennaco use to be sweet...Whatever he had in his pocket would play...It was just one of those bad beats...We were in a good spot & the score slipped thru our fingers...wasn't the 1st time..sure it won't be the last...those were the good old days when u could sneak players around under radar...Not blaming anyone..just a bad beat.

Yes Troy, you always treated me very well when I was around you. You're a great guy with backing players, and taking care of them. You helped me on the road when I was in need, and I thank you for that. We will see one another again playing pool, and trust me you'll bet on me again. LOL
I'm not dead yet, just to old to run the road. (52) LOL
I still play one pocket with the young guns.
Take care of yourself my friend.
