Mark Moore cue question

I have a friend that has a Mark Moore cue. It is fairly basic ebony/ birdseye 4 pointer with no veneers and one shaft He wants to trade me for a cue I have in stock.

Any Idea of what the value of the Moore might be? Plays real jam up with a s/s joint.

Any help would be appreciated

Moore used to live here in Boulder many years ago. I still see an occasional one around. He is a bit of an unknown and seemingly hard to get ahold of. All of the cues that I have seen have been nicely executed. He charges top dollar for his cues and I'm not sure they are worth the price he charges...since he is somewhat unknown. I'm afraid that value is really only what you perceive it to be.

Mark Moore is currently not making any cues. He may or may not come back to cue making in the future. It wouldn't hurt to have one of his cues in your case. Mark could play pretty well and knew what it took to build a good playing cue. I hope he comes back to cue making.

Where is Mark?
I knew him when he lilved in Boulder many years ago when he first started building cues.
 
Mark Moore, across the floor.
Travels the country from shore to shore.
Go to his house and knock on the door,
No Mark, No Moore....

Many many years ago I ran around with a guy named Bob in Denver.
Bob was about6ft 2in, but had an incredible wing span. He decided he needed a 62 inch cue and finally had Mark make it for him. Mark tried everything in his power to talk Bob out of it, but, his mind was made up.
After about 2 months of using the cue, Mark came around and asked Bob how he liked the cue. Bob said he loved it, but he thought it was a little too long. He asked Mark if he could cut it down about 2 inches and the look on Marks face was priceless. I thought his head was gonna pop.
Now that I think about it, Mark was in with us on a pretty good score back then.
I'd like to see him again.

I saw him in Mobile in august. He came up and introduced himself and we talked a while and he told me he was a jet pilot now. He seemed to be happy to be out of the cue making business. He is a very interesting person to talk with, and A nice person as well. He told me that he used to live in N. NO but I have no idea where he lives now.
 
Mark is currently in Pilot school in Mississippi. He is currently not building cues and will be flying commercially real soon. Mark is always an entertaining guy in the pool-room. If anyone is interested, the guys at Van Winkle pool hall in Jackson may have more info. 601-922-2446 and ask for Bobby, Mark hangs out there when he's not flying.

All righty then, since you know what Mark looks like when a customer asks him to re-do something that Mark didn't want to do in the first place: He is in Mississippi, operating one of those big birds in the sky. He seems pretty contented with his new occupation but I'm betting that he will come back to cue making one day. Mark has also been helping out his parents who have been having serious health problems for some time. His dad passed away recently.

Well I got this cue in on trade last night and it is available

Ebony 4 point into a golden stained birdseye forearm,
1 shaft approx 12.7 mm. and feels about 19.6 oz
black/ white wrap would say 90% condition
very nice feeling and accurate cue !!

(It was actually 1 am this morning so I am doing this from memory)

Pics will not be available till Tuesday after I move and find the camera looking for $795 shipped or interesting trades. This is a steal concidering what the others I could find on the web are selling for
