Mark Tadd

I sure remember Ante. Good player who couldn't quite get over the hump. You saw his stroke and would have bet he couldn't play a lick. You would be wrong.

Phil wanted to take him on the road but ultimately decided that Ante's mouth would get in the way of making money.

Last time I saw him was at a bar my buddy and I decided to stop and have a drink at on South St. When Ante saw us he came over and ordered a beer and asked us quietly to not blow his action.

Just one of Hard Times real characters back in the day.

Ante Rosini if I recall. He hung out at Baz 10 and gave out the 5 to his 8 in one hole to longshoremen for $300.00. .:)

Corey, when I lived in Anaheim back in 91-92 I played you once at Hard Times. At that point I'd only been playing 6 months and wanted to play better players to get good. After you schooled me I started picking your brain a little and asked if you thought you were as good as Tadd. You just laughed at me and said "Mark Tadd is possibly the best player in the world right now!" I remember that like it was yesterday.

Do you remember a guy named Ante that had a real funny stroke but could play real good?He played at Hard Times too.I can't remember his last name though.

Yup, Ante Rosini. Had a stroke that would give you an eplieptic seizure to watch, but he got the balls in the holes most of the time.

You an I playing may have been more like 90-91 since I was working there as a houseman. By mid-91 I would have been more of a Hollywood Billiards regular (as I was houseman there also). '92-96 or so, I was on a billiard hiatus. On another one now. LOL!
