Mark Wilson has really done it now.

I agree with all the above. Some on here seemed to have forgot what the last 6 out of 7 teams sent to the MC did. As long as these young guys hold there own and not show their ass I'll be more than happy with it. It's not that they have much to beat in last years team. JT

Man I'm lovin where this is heading.....this would be great ! Mark certainly is going to get them fired up and will keep them professional. I'm liking this approach already and by the time mosconi cup gets here some of us won't care whether we win or lose. In his approach pool and the people that play it will be the winners !

THIS!

Last year's team was chosen by Matchroom and if Matchroom chooses this year's team, we'll probably lose 11-2 again.

.... but in the last three Mosconi Cup competitions in which the team was chosen on merit, the US averaged 8 matches won per Mosconi Cup. I think that's a more realistic measuring stick for this year's squad.

I'd call anything worse than 11-8 a disappointment. That said, there are enough strong rotation pool players among the eight finalists for this team to win eight matches, even more, and maybe even win the darn thing.

Our team is in very good hands, and we'll all look forward to December. Have a little faith.

Every team in other sports like MLB. NFL, NBA, Hockey, Car racing teams goes through a rebuild and they don't win very often the first year. If these young guys win the first year it will be awesome. JT

Check out the first half of this documentary. It's all centered around the Navy Seals facility in San Diego. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIDVECB0K3Q

No doubt this years team experience will be an experience of a lifetime. Hopefully a new sense of professionalism will infect pool in America and we will once again be the country to beat.

I think this is a great opportunity for our players, and Mark will do whatever it takes to help them take advantage of the opportunity.

I think the youngest players, such as Justin Hall and Justin Bergman, may get the most out of it.

We should all delight in Mark's novel approach to inspiring and preparing his team. Good luck to all in San Diego.

Interacting with fans, doing charitable events and instructional clinics, visiting hospitals, this is the kind of positive exposure that pro pool has needed for a long time.
Things are looking up!

When justin told me about this I thought it was pretty cool I think mark is doing great job

Yea, great, good exposure for pool. Can't help but squint at.... not the act but the comments, it's feels that not long ago I was reading how "unsmart" he was for not picking MD.
