I think it is about a 90% chance I will come to this tournament as long as my Jello Back is holding together....

Hopefully the weather will cooperate...I haven't made it down to All Star for their Saturday tourney since the 8 ball championships. Snow ruining my weekly pool plans!

Cuefan,

Thinkin about coming down to the tourney, however, won't know if I'm coming til lright before then. It's about a two hour drive for me. Will they let me in if I just show that day?

The recent 8-ball championship drew 59 players and there have been in the 60 player to full 64 player range in the past. It would be great to have you attend, just be sure to get there early and sign up right away.

checks in the mail

I really wanted to play this year,So i put a check in the mail box at the end of my street last friday. But I did not realize the box got covered by plow trucks and has been buried for a week.I hope im not scewed !I called larry and he said to try back next week.

One week to go.

Saw tournament director Larry Nicholson today. He said All-Star Billiards has been receiving lots of calls about the tournament. Thanks for everyone's interest and participation.

It sounds like Maryland will finally catch a break this week from all of the recent snow. Clear weather is predicted right through tournament day this Saturday, so travel will not be a problem for those coming from a distance.

Be on the look out for the Schuff mister he will be looking to take hold of that tourney and turn it on its head Ill take the 7 out Brandon

does anyone have the results? how many players?

you guys always have a great tournament, a little light on the details afterwards though.

This was a good tournament,,, It was well ran. The tournament payouts where good... The tables where good... The food was great...

I just wish they did not pay the top 16 in the calcutta..... It makes it hard to bet on the better players... If they dont get in the top 2 you lose money because other money is being paid to the other spots.

I agree that the tourney was well run.I didnt play that well and like everyone else struggled to play on the equipment. In playing tournaments and all over the world I have never played on such bad equipment.Every table had rail issues and other problems. The racks were about 80 years old.The cue balls didnt match the centennial balls. The cueballs were for home tables as they were extremely light, very cracked and marked up.It simply said the owner of that poolroom should spend some money before they decide to have another tourney or for that case even open up their doors to the public again.Understand that I didnt play well and that is not the reason for my complaint,it is just that there is no reason to play on such bad equipment none.

Agree 100% with your thoughts on limiting the player auction to a smaller number of players and also the equipment issues. Both items have been brought up to the owner in the past, but I think the player input from this tournament will help get them moving in the right direction.
