To be fair to the room owners though, it is no secret that ALL pool rooms are struggling and closing down left and right. Maybe they are waiting for business to flourish a little before coughing up the bucks for better equipment, especially when they have a lot of bangers frequent the place that don't respect the equipment anyway.Agree 100% with your thoughts on limiting the player auction to a smaller number of players and also the equipment issues. Both items have been brought up to the owner in the past, but I think the player input from this tournament will help get them moving in the right direction.
I personally love this room as a tournament venue. The people are friendly, the food and drink are great, and Larry, Tiny, Guy and all the staff keep the tournament moving as best they can. Yeah, maybe they could use better racks here, better balls there, but given how much everyone has been struggling, I am willing to tolerate that just to keep the place afloat until better can be done.
