Thank you for putting this up JB. I wrote to Brunswick several times asking for a list of the Masked Marvels. Brunswick never got back to me. I believe my Dad said there were 10 or 12 of them going around the country. I wrote on here a few years ago that I thought it would still work today. Johnnyt

Too bad that Brunswick cares more about mercury outboard motors than the sport that gave it its true name and meaning. Jay, did you place a bet on the match .

I find this to be an awesome promotion. I love the way it's written, especially the line at the bottom that this is "the only masked expert recommended by Billiard Magazine".

Who doesn't think that this could work just as well today?

I bet that a good promoter could send Masked Marvels all around the country playing challenge matches where anyone who beats him gets $100.

I thing Gary Abood already tried to apply for the job

Do you think it would help me if I wore a mask to play pool? I do think the Mask Marvel idea would work these days.

Oh c'mon Bill...Name ONE Fortune 500 corporation that has not diversified from what they originally produced...especially in the last 100 years! 100 years ago Brunswick was one of very few companies manufacturing pool tables. Now there are at least 50+ companies that make them...in varying quantities and qualities. At least Brunswick still makes one of the best tables out there.

I would find it hard to believe they wouldn't want to go back to the unit numbers of table sales from the Color of Money days when there were and additional 10,000,000 people playin' pool. Oh well, the Broncos coulda won. I picked SF at the beginning of the season, my bet is lookin' better and better. Be safe out their....
