Masters

OK, possibly silly question time again.

How does a player gain the rank of Master? Do you have to win certain events or a certain number of events? Or against a certain level of competition? Or is it just bestowed upon you by the Jedi council?

I started wondering about this last night after talking to someone last night who I hadn't seen since he went to the BCA event in Corpus Christi a few months ago. He'd had fun but said he couldn't play in the singles because he was a Master.

Just made me curious.

The way it works in the BCA here (Western BCA) is if you finish in the top 4% in the open division of the regional tournament they bump you up to the masters.

...or if you finish in the top 32 (iirc) at the BCA national tournament in Vegas, you get bumped up to 'master'.
