How many other Americans were in action besides Shane? His willingness to go out and get action and match up to get better, is similar to the players in the 60's and 70's (and before) here in the US. Am I wrong in saying that players nowadays in the US are not as willing to risk their bankroll to get better (feels like it), and their concern is more about the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$. It's ironic how much time and money and energy one has to spend to get better, is there a tipping point where one becomes more concerned about the $core than improving? One of Hawaiian Brians favorite moves other than being in action as much as he could, was when he did get better from a match and a good score he would immediately fly/drive to where he recently lost or came close and jack the bet and win even more.
