MATCHROOM AND CUETEC SIGN AGREEMENT, MARKING A BRILLIANT NEW ERA FOR NINEBALL

Interesting... Although I don't doubt it's top removal abilities. I have never experienced this. Probably because I use the moosehead on my breakers which have nearly always had some composite material for a tip if not one long piece of phenolic.

Is the Cuetec offering a full length rest or some type of attachment...? I haven't seen any marketing for it, and the piece used at the Mosconi looked to be one piece.

Sorry, I don't know anything about the CueTec other than the picture we all see.

The pool hall I play at replaces tips as needed, not the slip over crap so I don't know if the tips were factory original or had been replaced on the house cues. Leather tips, unknown ferrules. Using thinner sticks and not putting the bridge head on past the tip would probably help with the tip removal issue. Grabbing the closest stick to use was no doubt part of the issue.

I thought the moosehead was the cat's pajamas. Cheap, didn't scratch shafts like some of the cast and chromed bridges, small enough to fit in a case pocket. Then I made a discovery. I think aided by the through hole in the center grommet, it made an excellent tip remover! After removing the tips of several house cues at the pool hall I retired my moose head.

I see that the CueTec doesn't have a through hole. Should help with the tip removal issue but also takes away from the one size fits all nature of the moose head. It seems there just isn't a perfect bridge head!

I think I have a set up you might find helpful. I'm tall so I don't need a Long Bridge Handle.
I take my Bouska jump cue out.
Plastic grommet mount/traditional style rake head that I attach on to the plastic type ferrule.
Plenty of handle length to get ''to the shot''.
Easy to hold and work with in tight spots.
Don't have to bend over, or look under tables for a rake. :)

Sounds like a great way of doing things! I'm moderately tall myself so often skip using the rake when I should. A jump cue sounds like an excellent idea and the hard tip should be less grabby than a possibly slightly mushroomed leather one on a house cue. One more reason to buy a jump cue, one of those things I never get around to.

Thanks for a very good suggestion!
