Matlock vs Deuel On the Barbox

Matlock vs Deuel

I never has happened. I do know that Matlock still has interest in the game, however. I would like to see it go down.

That was supposed to be in OHIO.

There was a fellow in Ohio that steaks Cory and he was going to stage the game and broadcast/tape it over the Internet and sell the tapes. When I last heard from him, he sounded pretty serious, capable and well funded. I was looking into doing the same kind of thing here in St. Louis with David & Jesse.
I think that match would be the premier bar box match that most people would pay a few bucks to watch live on the Internet.
ONE TIME - NO TAPES - PAY PER VIEW OR NEVER, EVER SEE IT.
The first couple of matches would lose money and the players would be playing for a flat fee or purse - but - with success the GATE could be Hugh because we are in the middle of the country and - I DON'T BOOK MANY LOOSERS!

I have a great tape that Steve Mizerak produced featuring Dave explaing barbox 9 ball. On the tape Matlock is playing Archer and he is just breaking and running out constantly, he puts a five pack or so on Archer while explaining what he is doing. Then Miz plays and Matlock keeps running out. It's great unedited pool.

Matlock once did an exhibition that my ex-wife organised in Ft. Collins, Colorado at the Saturn dealership. My wife told David that she wanted him to play to try and get out every time he got to shoot. She thought it would be better for the audience if the games went quickly and they got to see more runouts and less safeties. I don't know if she was right or wrong, but we were treated to some of the most creative runouts I have ever seen. David could make shots and make the cueball do things I wouldn't have thought possible. It was a great day of pool. Got to put in my little plug here - I was the only one who beat Dave in a race to three out of three exhibitions Dave did that weekend. :-) And you can bet it was good because I didn't play any safes either.

I know that no one wants a part of David with the old time big cueball. With the regular sized cueball I am guessing there are lots of players right now that would get in the box with him. Jesse has a standing invitation to play anyone for a thousand. Shannon Daulton once tried to high roll him and Jesse's backer just kept saying bet. I know them and I know the money was good.
