Don't tell me. They both turned it down. Or is there some other story behind this?
I tried to play Vernon in chattanooga, he had a backer and wouldnt play me on a bar table.
He beat me a few games playing banks in Louisville. Vernon was a good guy but preferred playing suckers, but didn't we all hahahaha !

Cotton's right, Vern liked to play suckers, and he snuck up on a ton of them. That's why they called him "The Faceless Man"......even after seeing him you would forget what he looked like.
