They are very different cues, in my experience. Specs might be the same, but the materials and finished product that came solely from baby's hands was too notch.

Never picked up a bad OG sledgehammer…and even if your break sucked you could always tell people I got a sledgehammer break Is the shaft taper on the Mcdermott made cues the same? Seems like that separated the original sledgehammers from others at the time.

If you had a powerful break you had to replace the ferrule on your OG. Still a great break cue.
