I just ordered a p704 McDermott which is one of there true spliced 6 point cue and was checking out McDermott's website and found the McDermott Wisconsin Delivery Program, which is a trip to the factory to design your own cue. It includes airfare, hotel, transportation, food, factory tour and a custom cue. Has anybody on the list done this? What was your thoughts? It sounds really cool and if you get a custom cue out of it even better.

One thing i didnt mention is they state on the site the cost of program is $1000-5000 dollars for the cue you want, im wondering if that is all inclusive. Im going to call them about there program tomorrow. Maybe Mr. McD is the tour guide for the factory and maybe he could make you the cue also.

That is a great program, I am a dealer for McDermott and I have seen the program in print. It certainly give those local to the facility a chance to truly get what they want. Dealers like myself have had this option for close to four years, and I have had them build me a number of Special edition cues for local resale. Most were made from left over D & C series parts (Forearms) so they were not CNC points.

Good Post!!

Do it.... those guys know wood.....you do pay a premium... but you will get the best they have..and they have one of the largest selections in the world.... so I have heard.....

I really love my factory made McDermott's!

I think if an out of towner like me can get in on something like this I might just go for it. I think that McDermott plan sounds great.

Great post! Thank you.

I will update the thread after i talk to McDermott today and get more info about program. Does anybody know if they can make there own full splice cue or even shorties anymore? I have seen house and sneakies on the website so maybe it's possible.

I talked to Jaime at McDermotts and he told me the Wisconsin Delivery Program is no longer available and was not supposed to be on their website any longer. He also told me that no one has ever taken them up on the program so i guess that is why it was dropped.

A second note to anybody looking for some true spliced old stock McDermotts they have some left, i ordered a 6 point cocobolo cue and im getting it for $299 from one of their dealers. I also was told by Bill from Cornerstone that he has alot of McDermott spliced cues including some one off and prototype cues. He is going to send me some pics of them and when i get it i will post it to the forum.

That's too bad about the program being dropped although I am now
looking forward to seeing the pictures of those true spliced McDermott's
when you recieve them.

Thanks.

Paul
