Mcfarland break cue

Hey ! that's where the pivot arm for my car cellphone holder went to !! LOL
The joint must have some "action" to it with that joint pin?!

Tell me that cue doesn't rattle.....

Sorry to be so critical, but it seems a little over engineered to me.

Dickie, since you have to MAKE a lathe driver for that shaft, what do you intend to do? Make sure you post pics too.

I had to make a butt and shaft driver for justinb386's Brunswick/Joss which has an odd 5/16-13 pin.

The butt was no problem,I just drilled and bored out a Delrin sleeve to .280,and screwed it onto the butt, using the pin as a tap.

The shaft was pretty easy too,I just went to a local manual machine shop and used their lathe and my own 304 SS and cut it myself.

What you have there is a unique piece for sure. Tommy D.

I'm not making anything for it. The customer brought the cue in for a pin change. It is now a brass radial.

That looks like a great candidate for Viagra, as that is one Limp pin....
Just saying.

Its been a while since I saw one but I believe the pin can be removed, by design, so maintenance can be performed. Again, its been a while but I thought it was a 3/8-10 but don't quote me...

I believe the concept is you unscrew the shaft & pull up but the pin is not supposed to come out of the butt. You rotate the shaft back parallel with the butt, leaving the joint attached the entire time. Kind of like a colapsable walking stick. I got one in that would not tighten flush.
