This event is starting today in Columbia,
Does anyone know where the bracket can be found, or who is entered?
I tried to find and have failed, other than finding matchroom YouTube link.

Nothing but the YouTube stream. They have instagram and Facebook, but nothing there. Oscar Dominguez is up next.

Alcaide is up now. I wonder if he’s playing with the Pechauer here. The article on the home page called him a “world champion”. That didn’t seem right to me, so I went to the WPA site to see if he won a juniors world championship. He did not from my scan of the list. Reminded me of CW, but maybe it was an honest mistake.

He has won the World Cup of Pool and the World Pool Masters but you're right, those are not proper world championships.

I’m surprised they are playing a rotation tournament in Medellin. Master Billiards(super nice room) only had one table with pockets and it was a horrible table. There was another room downtown that might have had a pocket table.

I love Medellin, the cycling was great and Marcelo the owner of Master’s was a fabulous host.

Is this an updated Aramith Blak set? Or another brand? On the Blak set I found it very hard to tell the 8 and 9 apart. Making the 8 a bit different seems to help. The 5 looks orange too?

Note, I'm legit colorblind.

I was just looking at the latest YT stream. Alcaide beat Eberle, then Elliott Sanderson was playing "Lobo", whoever that is. Sanderson? It's like a mass migration. I suspect many of these players have never played in South America before.

(Edit: too many (S)andersons to keep track of. The player seems to be a 2-T Elliott.)

That would be Elliot Sanderson, 751, from GBR vs Brayan Lobo, from Columbia

It's on Tournamentapp.de, a German system.

Seems there were 32 8-player double elimination groups that each qualified 2.

Here are those 64 qualifiers. Appears it it DE to 32 and then SE.

Finals about to start on the mathroom YouTube page.

Colombia vs Venezuela.

This is why you can’t have true World Championships without a formal organization. “Unknowns” from South America beat the top “known” pros.
