This sight is not Free Please Help
Other people are footing the bill to keep it going.
A businessman should recognize that
Free membership is offered to get new people to join and for people who are hardly ever here.
It is offered to bolster numbers needed to obtain some paid sponsors.
We still need ALL the members that can to donate and help by becoming Club Members.
We do not want total paid sponsorship.
It would give sponsorship to much leverage to dictate how the site is run.
Club Membership is for people who are smart enough to know what we have and wish to keep it. Yeah Roscoe it ain't what it was, but what in this world is.
You guys seem to want something extra for joining. Bah Humbug! :nanner::duck:
I say the forum should start taking things away.
Like no more Avatars or signatures,especially w/advertising, no for sale or trade unless youe are a Club Member.
Why let non paying members use the extra bandwidth. :shrug:
I am all for making those a CLUB privilege.

Tap......Tap......Tap.......Well stated sir. It answers the question.....why pay when it's free?......and as you so eloquently pointed out.....NOTHING is free, somewhere, somebody, is paying. Those that do not want to DONATE.....without some "ADDED VALUE".......are savy businessmen? I suppose that is one way of looking at it......but I totally disagree.....Dan
BTW.. I 100% agree that folks you use this group to sell product should PAY or be BANNED. but hey it aint my site.
I pick 'em for about a $130-140.

This is free... I can do all of the same things you do on this site and I dont pay for anything.. it is free... void of cost.. open to the public...
My decision to become a member came about over a short period of time on this site. Unmatched knowledge, awesome cues to dream about owning "someday", a true community with all of the good and bad.
Forking over $35.00 was not only easy....it was something that I felt obliged to do. I've gained far more than I've given and at some point I hope to reach a balance that puts me on a more equal footing. Becoming a member is a step in the right direction for me.
You can go with no membership if you choose. You only have to answer to yourself as to whether you are taking when you could be giving. I do believe that most of us have blown far more money elsewhere and ended up with little or nothing to show for it. Spend one hour reading some of the cuebuilders posts, an observation from a contributing Pro, or a section of the forum that you have no initial interest in.....if you dont gain any knowledge then you need to have your own section so that we can learn from you.
The beauty of this site is that you CAN use it without paying for a membership. I choose to pony up.

Being perfectly honest I spent my extra GREEN, on gas to driving over to the BGCMP last year with Pool Items I collected for the kids Pool Program, and Long Distance Phone Call to get more items for what I called Cues for Kids,m that benefited BGCMP. Guess we all have our favorite causes.

We all have our favorite causes, that is an excellent point. How much did Cues for Kids benefit from your free membership on this site? How much have other childrens programs benefited from connections that wouldn't have been made without this site?

Is it true that everytime you click on a BANNER AD, the Forum makes GREEN?
Probably not every time, usually the agreements are per 100 clicks on the banner or so. For every 100 clicks, the site gets $.25 or something along those lines.
