I just sent off an e-mail to Meucci, but thought I'd post something here as well. A customer brought me an old Meucci Original with a cracked butt cap. I could just make him a new but cap, but it wouldn't have the Meucci logo. He didn't like that idea and wants me to try gluing it. I don't think that would work. Any thoughts or comments?

Does anyone know of somewhere to get a replacement for one of these old butt caps? I need the bumper too.

send it back to Meucci, wait 2 years, and then give up,,,JMHO

actually, in Meucci's first bankruptcy he lost the rights to 'Meucci Originals' ,,,I don't have any idea where to get a buttcap unless you find another stick with a good one on it...........sorry, no help...jflan :(

i heard just last nite, that meucci was out of business. any truth to that?
 
I don't know if you have the proper material or not, but I imagine there are numerous people who can engrave the buttcap for you if you do. It may cost you a little time and money, but it would be better than trying to glue that one back together.
 
You could also just use the double black phenolic and make up a decal. I got the inkjet clear decal paper and it works great. The logo doesn't look like it would be that hard to match fairly close.

When I spoke with them two weeks ago they said that they were moving to a new plant. I had ordered a shaft for one of my customers two weeks ago and received it in one week. WHAT A SHOCK THAT WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!:confused:
At that time they said that they were not going out of business.

I just got a memo from meucci with "HUGE MOVING SALE" on it. They indeed are moving there plant. They were offering prices that weren't any better than the last sheet of stuff I got from them...lol
