Im suspect of anything with 'original' in the name-It's not something you do 'originally' -Not buying the 'Original Pancake House' either

At what point did they start sealing the wrap? My first cue was a 2 point original that I got in 1987. It had the sealed wrap and I have only saw one unsealed cue and the guy told me it was a special order.

They sealed them from the get-go in the late '70's. You had to request a non-sealed wrap back then. My first good cue was a Rifleman BH-1(1979-80) and it was sealed over. Another cue i wish i'd kept. Got it from Buddy himself while he was living here.

Not a Meucci expert by any means but have owned a number of them, still have a few MO's and the MO's do tend to be a much better quality cue than the later cursive Meucci logo cues.

If everything is straight and in good shape I think it could be in the $400 - $500 range.

Nice looking cue.

Meucci wraps on the originals were all sealed unless you special ordered an unsealed wrap- to my recollection. As for quality- the last versions, in my opinion that had a decent quality level were the 95 and 97 series cues, I still have two of the OLDIES from the 95 series and they are very playable and solid hitting cues. Got a beauty from the family of "Indian Bob" from Yonkers NY when he passed away and they had a tag sale -$30! and found the other in a Pawn Shop in Bridgeport Ct in 1996 in mint condition- the "Airplane" cue/ OLDIE 2 for $100. Both are fine cues. "Indian Bob"'s sister was moving and she would not sell his custom Bludworth with a beauty of a Jay Flowers custom Case - his death was too recent to part with all of the memories, don't know where she moved to, but that combo is either still sitting in a closet somewhere or maybe ended up at a Goodwill, I don't think she knew the value of his stuff.
