Meucci PRO SERIES ANYBODY TRIED ONE YET???

I'm not a pro I thought it was for pros. I might be able to work it in a few years. lol:eek:
 
Best cue I've ever shot with, and at 49, I've had plenty. It disappears in my hands and feels completely natural. I'm a happy customer.

No, they're not the Black Dot. They're a completely different shaft with their own taper according to the webpage on them.

My concern is that I'm so used to the 35-layers of the Black Dot, and the low deflection, yet I'm not able to find out the specifics of this "Pro" shaft.

I would be interested in seeing more info on this magic shaft. All the meucci site says is it hat an ultra light ferrule and doesn't use a phony hitting hole down the first 5 inches of the shaft. It also doesn't look laminated. Plus, what makes a stick too much for a player? Will it be too smooth and accurate for the lower players to handle? The page is full of hype and no info.
 
My brother ordered this overpriced piece of sh@t and it shot just like any other dead a$$ Mooch. To make it worse there were bubbles throughout the finish of the butt. I am sure Mooch fans will swear by it like finding the pool equalivant of the holy grail but I assure you its all hype just like the webpage. I would not piss on this stick to save it from dying of thurst.

Meucci will warranty his cue, I spoke with them today about the issue. I'm trying to make sure things like this don't happen, and they are resolved quickly if they do. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help resolve this problem.

As for those asking about the new shaft. Its a solid Michigan hard rock maple shaft with a pro taper. The shaft has no brass insert and is coupled with a 3/8 x 10 pin. The tip can either be Kamui or Moori.
 
I am not by any stretch a Meucci "fan", and was very skeptical about this cue. But as they say, nothing succeeds like success, and my experience, even given my warranty issue was quite positive. But give 10 people the same cue and be prepared for 10 different opinions....
 
I ordered one thinking there was only a 2 week lead time. That was 8 weeks ago. I look forward to shooting with it but I guess I have to patient. Every 2 weeks, they tell me it will be done in 2 weeks.

I still have high hopes for this cue.

I remember the last Moochie I bought in the early 90s. I was 16 saved for almost a year $450. Ordered a great looking four point Moochie. Played with it about an hour when one of the points fell out. Thats right one of the points fell out. Called them no problem send it back they will fix it.. I was pissed but i sent it back to be repaired after only an hour of play... I turn 40 Sept the 7th and I am still waiting for them to return the cue that I spent $450 on when i was 16 years on. No thanks Pro Taper my ass

I hate to say this but that's a funny story. I guess I have no chance in getting a refund on the one I bought in the mid 80s that warped with in 6 months.
 
Has quality control been addressed at Meucci, I stopped stocking them years ago because they were terrible.......If something happened in there work to fix the shotty workmanship I will have to check into them again.....NOT!!..LOL

Are Supposed to be made By Bob Meucci"
I've heard He used to make an outstanding playing cue
 
Meucci quality has been up and down, most recently down within the last 10 years at least, I have played with the pro shaft a few shots, I will say it hit pretty nice. I have looked at some cues at some shows, they seem like the quality picked up a tad within 3 year span, but that might be wishful thinking.
