Meucci quality

I've been looking at a few Meucci cues online, they have some nice designs. However, I've heard that their quality and customer service has really gone down the drain. their cues aren't exactly cheap, so i'm a bit wary. but i've also heard that bob meucci has returned to the company and is trying to fix things. i would probably use the meucci shaft only as a backup and get a predator shaft custom mated to the butt. Would like to get some people's recent experiences with them. Thanks!

I have several new Meucci cues. I also have several Dominiak custom cues and a Predator SP. I almost always play with the Meuccis. I love the black dot shaft (better than Predator IMHO). All the cues I purchased were well made. None have warped. In that respect I have been lucky. If you get a bad cue or something goes wrong with it you may have difficulty getting help.Tons of bad experiences have been reported here. With so much bad feedback they must be doing something wrong. But the ones I bought are nice and the black dot shaft is SWEET.

did you buy direct from meucci or from a reseller? are they still using those extra long ferrules on their shafts?

best sneaky petes i ever played with were meucci's. get those and don't bother with the fancier ones. quality of construction was ALWAYS suspect.

I purchased mine at Budget Billiards (don't know if they are still in business). They have the long ferrule. I have played with a lot of different cues, custom and production, owned by friends and me and I like the black dot shaft best of all. Those shafts sure take a bad rep beating from most players ,I guess it's all personal preference.

When Meucci was in Sledge, MS, they had a ton of problems. Quality control seemed to be something no one was interested in. The cues were not of great quality. They would make things right if you sent it back to them, but it took a long time. Since they have moved to the new factory in Byhalia, MS, their production quality has picked back up. I have had several of their cues recently, and they have all been of very good overall quality. Also, while they had stopped making the sneakies for a while, they are now making them again. They are real good cue values.
