Meucci Re-finish job ?

I would say that it depends on your intent with the cue in the future. If it will be for a collection with a possibility of getting rid of it in some way shape or form in the future, I'd say definately spray over for originality. However if it is for your personal playing cue, I would say go with whatever feels good in your hand. I personally prefer the feel better that the linen wrap, but a matter of your own preference. JMO

I have an old Mike Segal "Captain Hook" model that I acquired back in the late '80;s.
The oil from my hands took the clear finish off the wrap area.
I asked a local cue maker if it could be refinished and he said.........
WHY?
It is still in the same condition..

I say yes. I think it would be odd to have a Meucci without the wrap sprayed over.
Well, I voted for "re-sprayed", since that term implies it was finished.
The "who cares anyway" option, could mean that the voter would not care about whether or not the wrap was covered/exposed, OR, that the voter was stating that they did not care about Meucci cues, the poll, etc.
I prefer a covered wrap. My first Meucci was covered. I wanted to try a linen wrap. But, I was used to that cue. SO, I sent it to them, and for $60 (back then) got it back with a beautifully done wrap, in the exact color I wanted.
I found after a while, I actually preferred the covered wrap, thus my vote. Just a personal preference.
