Meucci Red Rose Original

I was wondering if anybody could provide me with any more information about a cue I recently purchased that I cannot find catalogued anywhere. I have attached pictures of the butt of the cue. It appears to be the original version of the Classic series 2 (C-2) or the currently retailed Hall of Fame 5 (HOF-5) so I'm guessing it predates 1984. Any information that anybody could provide me about this cue (date made, how rare, value etc) would be greatly appreciated.

It could be a early copy of the Rose cue Loree Jon played with...seehttp://loreejon.com/rosecue.htm or my understanding is Meucci already had a Rose cue that he,Loree Jon and her husband made alterations to to get Loree Jons cue. Try e-mailing pics to Meucci.

Meucci Rose

I can't exactly tell from the photo. but it looks like an earlier version of cue in the Loree Jon Jones line they had in the mid 1980's - here's the flyer:

Budget Cues, by the way, has a lot of the Meucci Catalogs archived.

your cue would have to be very rare - I don't know that I've seen a mdel like yours with the wood colors and old logo for sale. I don't know the value - my guess would be $400 - $500 US give or take, which is in with the higher end of the Meucci Original cue values. It looks like they used a marquetry technique on the flowers - kind of interesting.

Good call Terry, we posted at the same time!

it looks like a custom or early version of the LJ3 but that cue was ebony and a white wrap. www.budgetcues.com has pictures of the meucci catalogs and that is the closest cue. you might try calling meucci (800) 563-8224 and ask them.

I remember those cues. Early 80's when Meucci
took his time and did all the work himself.
retailed for between 6 & 7 hundred dollars.
