Mezz - ACE series with Alpha Hybrid shaft

Did anybody had a chanse to play with new ACE series of Mezz that uses new Alpha Hybrid shaft?

What is the price for lowest model of these in USA?

I play with a Hybrid Alpha. But I use the TA-3.

I wasnt aware that the Hybrid Alpha was even on the market in the US yet though...but I guess I'm mistaken.

There's an ad for the ACE and AXI series in my DVD...but man, I have no idea what the prices are. I'd be curious to find out, as they look like beautiful cues.

My friend has a Mezz Ace with Alpha shaft as his spare cue. I played with it las week and it played awesome. Very stiff with minimum deflection. But the linen wrap was kinda put me off, it was too slippery, could not get a grab of it. My friend is selling his cue if you are interested. PM me for his email address.

I played with a Mezz Tuesday night, fantastic hitting cue. I've been a loyal Predator shaft customer, however, thinking of jumping ship after hitting some balls around.

Yes, I was lucky enough to be one of the first to own the Mezz Ace series with the Alpha shaft. The stick plays great. It is a low deflection shaft but does deflect more than a predator shaft, the WD700 and the Hybrid proII from Mezz.

What I like is Mezz built low deflection shafts without piecing wood together. The use a solid piece of wood not 10 pieces glued together. I believe this leads to mezz's solid hit as opposed to the dead feeling you get when playing with a predator.

I would highly recommend the Mezz Ace series with the Alpha shaft. I also think the WD700 shaft is exceptional and has a great feel.

What is an alpha hybrid shaft?

I played with a Mezz a few months ago and I was surprised at how well it plays. I like it better than the predators as well. Custom-feeling-hit for a production-price.
