Mezz Cue Trouble

I traded for Mezz cue that came with a Mezz WD700 shaft. Not sure what this joint is called by Mezz, if someone knows, that would be helpful.

This model was built with an option of having a finish sprayed over the wrap area. This cue does have that.
When laying the cue on my pool table and I rest my hand on the butt sleeve, the joint of the cue lifts off the table.
I have shipped cues where folks have sent me a video of how the butt went from straight to having a slight lift. When I received the cue back, it was straight as an arrow.
The person I received the cue from stated it was perfectly straight and at this time, I have nothing to doubt his claim.

My Question Is: Could this slight rocking be due to the finish sprayed over the wrap ? and is it worth having the cue cut and re faced to maybe help take the severe roll off as the shaft has a little taper roll out in it, but, really gets bad once it's put together.

I am from Minnesota and am looking for a inspection on this cue so I can report back to the person I have received the cue from. At this point, he may not believe me that the butt is not rolling or staying flat.

Please email me at sales@cdand.com as at this point, I do not want to reveal the persons name or the model of the cue to cause a stir. Would appreciate a offer or suggestion from a az cue maker that maybe both the person and myself would agree to having a partial inspection of the cue.
Thanks

Danny Janes (Joss Cues) and I were once comparing notes, and the subject of various things cue owners find to complain about came up. In addressing those issues that matter... and, more importantly, those that don't, Danny told me what he would say about concern similar to the one you express here:

"How often does that shot come up in a game?" Still makes me chuckle to this day.

I am going to apologize Mr. Wayne, but, I don't have a clue in what your posted answer has to do with a warped cue that someone sent me after initially claiming it was straight at the time of trade discussions. However, if you send me a nice straight Schon Cue, I will be more than happy to trade you this Mezz Cue. No Returns Please.

JoeyinCali - As I stated in opening thread, this cue also has a finish over the wrap and of course certainly could be part ? or whole of the problem ?? I am hoping the cue could take a natural course on it's own and relax good again.
However, with the member stating it was straight as part of my condition was that the butt has to be straight as the shaft was stated to have a little movement in it. The shaft has more than a little movement and when put on the butt, it really has a limp when rolled, just short of the tip coming off the table.
When I went to roll the butt only, I laid my hand on the butt sleeve and was shocked to see the joint lift off the table.
When rolled to a certain part of the cue, I can slide two brand new cards from a deck of cards under the joint part of the butt.
I have asked the other member if there is someone mutual we both might know as I would send the cue to that cue maker for his evaluation as I have not heard back from the person I done a trade with. I am not going to jump and open a thread bashing him as I am trying to give them ample time for a response.
It easily could be the change of climate and the cue just does not like Minnesota.
It could be very well the wrap and finish is a little thick ?? but then, it should have been noticed by the other party.
I don't know if any cue repair folks have had any situations with Mezz cues like this and instead of jumping down another members throat, I am looking to find someone that could confirm the actual problem for us.
You may be totally correct in that the wrap handle area is to thick ?? I just need a straight cue.
Thanks

Lay the cue with the joint collar on the top rail of a diamond or gold crown table.
Roll slowly and check if the bottom of the forearm wobbles.

Joey in Cali , great point ,have u tried sighting down cue as if it were a shotgun? i do this to cues im sanding before spray , and you will see any flaws , but also feel for bumps , the hand sees all , and have you measured with calipers?

Thank you for the extra hints. I also held the cue at the wrap handle area and rolled the cue to see if it stayed true or not besides the joint on the rail and the calipers. Just a very small bow in the cue which gives it a hair of a lift and when coupled with the shaft, rolls with a limp. I'll have to see what the other member wants to do, of course, hopefully I will get an answer back in my now upcoming 3rd attempt.
Thanks Men !!!

Thank you CavinTan !!! I really appreciate it much. The member I traded this cue on has not replied yet to me after three requests. I am more than likely going to have find one of these shafts and send the cue to a cue repair person and have the cue cut, re wrapped, refinished and shaft fitted. Really Sucks but, I wouldn't ship this cue unless fully described and I do believe this cue would shape up rather nicely with just a little effort put into it. Maybe I'll have a leather wrap put on it instead.
Thanks Again,
I should ask for a Mezz WD700 united joint with 5/16 x 14 thread or is just a united joint going to get me what I need.
Appreciate all who have given me some suggestions and answers. I think I've exhausted everything I can do. Time to go to an expert.

Anyone have a nice used United Mezz WD700 shaft. Must be straight.
Thank You,

if i understand the above question all the united joint is is a quick release 5/16-14. So the united joint is ur best bet to ask for because they are the easiest to find.
