Hi guys,

Currently I am using players hxt 10, generally the cue is not bad, but personally i feel that it lacks of feedback after hitting a stroke. and I m thinking to get a new one, mezz or new ob 2012? any advice? Thanks

i had that same question a while back. i went with the mezz. still waiting for it to show up. ups might have gotten it stolen

thanks! so u went for which model? for OB the price is attractive as well, but still waiting for some reviews :)

i was torn betwee n the OB-123 or 125 but i ended up getting a mezz axi-k. i figured with the dollar changing in value better to get the mezz before it goes up in price again and down the road i can pick up an ob. i wnated the ob cue with the classic shaft though. the ob1 isn't my cup o tea. i was a little worried that the taper might be a little long though

haha, me too, i am considering btw OB-123/125/127, all look simple and nice, and i prefer OB classic as well :) For mezz, I am thinking of getting EC7-CMT.

Now that's what i'm talking about! another guy on here with great tastes in cues. let the wood do the talking and focus on performance. i have actually decided that when i do get an OB cue that im goin gto get the OB-XL shaft and have it taken down to 13mm. i figure you can always take some wood off you can't add it if there isn't enough for my tastes

keep us up to date bro. i'd love to see actual pics of your cue when you get it and hear your thoughts on how it looks feels and plays

What is the OB XL shaft. I have never heard of it. The largest ferrule you find on ob shafts is on the break shaft which is 13mm as far as I know. Both classic and ob1 start at 12.75 mm.

actually the largest ferrule you find on an ob shaft is on the OB XL shaft.

the XL, i gotta figure, stands for extra large. predator has the fat shaft option and OB has the XL option. the OB XL is offered in OB1 and OB classic style. seyberts has them if you want to see them sold somewhere

Thanks for letting me know. I hadn't heard of them and couldn't find them on www.obcues.com.

definitely mezz all the way,, either united joint or wavy joint good,, but if u have extra bit cash get wavy joint hit solid and give u feed back.

I'm with you. I try a 2 ob cues and many of mezz, if you need more feedback on the cue, try mezz (wavy joint gives more). The ob is also great, but the feedback not to good as mezz. IMO.

Not sure I agree the Wavy joint gives more feedback than the United joint. Biggest difference I notice is the firmness of the hit. Both joints are great, but the Wavy has a softer hit.

Hahahaha, my bad. Actually it's United joint (the SS joint), surely I'm too excited to post the reply. Yes, UJ was harder (more feedback) and wavy was the softer (slightly reduced feedback).

well... i advise u to go with mezz.. if price is a problem, go for EC7 series.
but i prefer now to play with my mezz butt with the OB2 Shaft
i find it a great combine
