Mezz Pro H vs Pro R Deep Impact Shaft?

So, there's a very noticeable difference between the H and the R?

There is a noticeable difference. I owned both shafts but kept the H. The H shafts is noticeably heavier than the R. The R shafts seems more geared towards breakers that rely on break speed. The H more like a SVB ten ball break style. I got better results with the H as I don't really have a fast break speed but I hit them square and solid with a long follow through.

i would think the h would have a little more deflection as the wood they use to core it is a lot heavier than ash

Well I got to break with R shaft and didn't really impressed me. I mean I could feel is a sofisticated break cue, has power, but a little too softy for me. I sold it and now I am back looking for H shaft ....

Looks like you got the H-shaft. How do you like it?

Why would this be better combination (ha shaft with Bower break 2) than the original Power break PRO with H or R shaft?

I have both shafts. The R didn't get to see any of the hot chicks I played with after I partnered up with H.

I have the "R" the "H" and the regular Deep Impact shaft.
Having experimented with all three, my findings is that for my style of break. The DI shaft is too soft and the "H" shaft is too stiff.
I try to emulate the SVB type break and that extra little flex in the "R" shaft is just perfect.
In both 9 and 10 ball I break from the center area of the table, so upon striking the CB I bend the shaft quite a bit.
My friends who use a more conventional side break in both 9 and 10 ball and thus rely more on brute power tend to prefer the "H" shaft.
